If you sew, this is a "must have" item! It makes a world of difference when sewing across thick & bulky seams, such as on jean hems. It is a multipurpose tool: a seam jumper with a thick side and a thinner side, it holds a needle to prevent dropping it into the machine, and it works extremely well underneath a button to create a shank when sewing on a button. I have a couple of these already so this one I ordered for someone else. This is a no-fail item & by Madam Sew, it is a reliable quality. The price is reasonable. It's well packaged and has great instructions. Love it! I couldn't sew jean hems without it!

This thing works. It is easy to use and does help keep from breaking needles when moving into a thick seam. One of those things I didn't know I needed until I used it.

This is a big help sewing over thick seams on my sewing machine. It takes a bit to figure out how to hold it and sew but it beats breaking needles. I am a beginner sewer so anything to make the job easier is a plus with me.

I resumed sewing after more years than I care to admit. Although I still have many sewing accessories from years ago, I don't recall Bulky Seam Jumpers from the "olden days." Once acquainted with using this device (the video demonstrations were extremely helpful), I find myself using it far more often than anticipated. For such a simple gadget, it is extremely useful!

I didn’t know this existed but it works so well! It has two sides depending upon the thickness of the fabric, you can breeze right through. Sturdy, thick plastic is worth a million to me!
