Durable and comfortable, well worth the price
These are my "summer" boots which I bought after having great success with the 20-eye version... I must confess I added insoles for arch support and to take up some of the extra room (I have narrow feet even by women's shoe standards) but otherwise they are perfect for my needs. I've worn them all day every day for nearly 6 months now and the soles show virtually no signs of wear & tear, amazing considering I spend my work days constantly on my feet on concrete floors for 8-12 hours at a time, moving heavy pallets and abusing them in every way possible! My feet never hurt at the end of the day, and I get tons of compliments on the way they look - a lot of people mistake them for DM's and ask me what they are and where I got them. I love boots and have worn a lot of different ones over the years, but these are the only ones worth this kind of money in terms of quality, comfort and style!*Update* 4 years later they are still going strong, but they don't look as nice as they once did and the soles have worn down to the point where the screws in them have been partially ground off. They've now been relegated to mostly yard work, camping and other messy activities since I bought a shiny new pair of 14 eye Gripfast to wear to work!

100% satisfied.
These boots are terrific. Thick yet supple leather, excellent tread, and sturdy construction as well as a beautiful finish in the burgundy rub, these boots are breaking in easily. I've gotten so many compliments on them. I waited a year for my size to become available and it was worth it. They may seem expensive, but when you see the way they're made, the price is worth it. I have really narrow heels so they are a bit wide in that area, but laced up tight my feet don't slide around. I've worn Docs for about 20 years and in that time noticed a decline in quality; in comparison, Gripfasts exceeded my expectations. Delivery was fast and they were packaged well.

Gnarly S***KICKER's !!!
These S***KICKER's are bad-ass !!! These are better than Doc's , and they put Grinders to shame , and I like both of those companies.., Doc's much more than Grinders. They fit true to size also , at least compared to Grinders and are closer in fit to Doc's sizing. The quality is grade-A , and they look gnarly. We will see if they are just for looks , or if they are also for function , a.k.a..., for the WORKING CLASS ? I will put them thru the grinder w/ 60 hr work wks. of manual labor and serious motorcycle riding. So we shall see in a few months , because that's all my Grinders lasted were 4 months and they are falling apart. At least Doc's will give me a full 12 months , and even then it's just the soles that wear thin. The only thing I was a little bummed on ( at first ) was the style of leather ? I should've bought the greasy black , and not the regular black. I was looking for " normal " leather , and not the patent leather look. That's on me though. Gripfast are the real deal ! Best boots ever!!!!!!!
I'm never buying another brand of boots ever again. I absolutely love these boots. Wear them every day, all day. They fit great, broke in in a day or 2. Best boots on the planet!

Looks great but not cheap or good for work
This is hands down the coolest piece of footwear I’ve ever owned. The burgundy rub is a very unique finish that’s hard to come by and looks exactly like it does in the picture. Plus the thick sole gives it this awesome sturdy, heavy, beefy feel to it that I really like. But all in all I don’t think I would ever wear these to do any kind of real work in. They don’t come with any grip certification and there is absolutely no padding at all inside. It’s just a thin piece of leather maybe an eighth inch thick which makes breaking in the steel toe process even more uncomfortable. So not only is walking painful but there is zero protection from anything bumping into your ankles. Also the tongue of the boot creases a bit and doesn’t lay perfectly flat so stepping through water more than a few inches will guarantee wet socks. Not only that but they just look so nice I don’t want to risk ruining them anyway when I still have an old pair of beaters. So these are strictly going out boots for bars or parties for me. My job offers $90 vouchers for footwear so I essentially bought these for 30% off and even that feels a bit high for boots that basically just look really really cool

Still great boots 20+ years later!
I bought my first pair of Gripfast in 1996 (secondhand) and they lasted for ten years. They're still the best punk boots around-- the quality has NOT changed. Looking forward to ten years with this pair, too. Save up and buy some-- they're the dog's bollocks!

Defective boot.. happened after 35 days. Return Policy is 30 days
Let me start by saying I have had Gripfast boots in the past for over 10 years and NEVER had this kind of issue with the quality. However clearly this is a defect in the leather upper being too short attaching to the toe part. Clearly you can see it came apart at the seem, this is NOT a tear in the leather!RETURN ISSUE: I bought these from Amazon on OCT 16th and received them on OCT 31. The date I started the return for this defect was on Dec 11th. This is 11 days past the 30 day return policy both with Amazon and Gripfast. I was denied when I put a claim in with Amazon and I am now waiting for an appeal decision from Amazon and a call back from Gripfast in Vancouver WA. This is not acceptable for a defective boot not to receive a full refund.

You wont regret these. Excellent craftsmanship and very comfy.
-the leather is thicker and high quality. ---steal toes have a nice soft lining that is not to thick-soles have some spring to the rubber, but are solid all the way through.these do take a good deal of break in hours this thick socks and maybe some mole skin patches on ankle bones. You will want to pre-flex the leather a bit as well. However once they are they are incredibly comfy and hold up very very well. I highly recommend them.
