beautiful tamper! After going through alot of trial and error I found the perfect tamper. I tried a spring tamper and a self leveling tamper but i realized that its just extra moving parts at a premium. A heavy tamper is all you need ! theres no such thing as tamping too hard when you grind correctly

I gotta admit, I got this more for the aesthetics. It looks good, but wow does it have heft to it, and it's a heft that exudes quality. Then I was surprised. Honestly for my 54mm Breville portafilters, I always expected third parties to be low in quality and spec. Even the tamper that came with my Breville that I have been using has quite a bit of give around. This? This is like 0.5% within margin of the size of the portafilter baskets I've used (from IMS to just general third party no-names). Wow has this made a difference. It allows me to tamp much more evenly and I know 99% of the puck was tamped correctly with it, whereas I was going with 95-97% confidence. That small percentage increase the quality of my shots dramatically from my experience and I do not use a WDT. TLDR; get this, its a SOLID tamper.

I bought this to replace the stock plastic tamper of the Breville Bambino. This fits the 54 mm portafilter perfectly, has a very nice weight to it that makes tamping the coffee very easy. The wood handle fits in the palm of the hand very nicely to help tamping. This makes even tamping easier than the plastic stock tamper. Highly recommended if you have a 54 mm portafilter.

My partner just started his at home coffee journey with a baby Breville Bambino. The issue with the Bambino is the basket size is a little atypical, so it was hard to find a quality tamp that fit the bill. I worked in coffee for over half a decade and this is the same quality as the tamps we used in shops. And it’s cute.

For the aftermarket IMS baskets, this is excellent. Good weight, good value. However, for the stock 54mm Breville Barista Express baskets, it has barely any clearance. On the stock 1-shot (non-pressurized) basket, it creates a slight vacuum and pulls the puck out if not super careful. On my aftermarket IMS basket it fits far batter than the stock tamper.

Guten Tag. Der Tamper verfehlt sein Ziel, denn er ist nicht präzise gefertigt. Der Durchmesser ist 53,3mm anstatt 53,5mm. Das ist aber genau der Kaufgrund gewesen. Nämlich bis zum Rand tampern zu können. Ich verwende ein "IMS B62.52TH24E" Siebkorb (54mm) für meine "Sage Barista Express". Wen das nicht stört oder einen 53,3mm Tamper benötigt, der kann diesen hier kaufen. Die restliche Qualität ist gut.

Je viens de recevoir ce tamper. La qualité est juste parfaite, c'est un bel objet, bien lourd. Le diamètre est exactement comme il le faut. S'il avait été plus large, je confirme qu'il se serait mis en fortement contre le filtre et qu'il n'y aurait pas suffisement d'air en périphérie pour ne pas aspirer la galette. Je vous conseille ce taper et surtout il ne faut pas écouter les commentaires négatifs, ils se trompent sur la nécessité d'avoir un léger vitre autours du filtre. Je recommande.

Avevo già letto recensioni menzionare l'inesattezza della misura del pressino, ovviamente speravo fosse un puro caso, un pezzo difettoso fra tanti. Negativo, state acquistando 40€ di pressino da 53.5mm e vi arriverà 53.3mm, il che è assurdo visto che viene addirittura stampato sulla base. Senza parole.

for the price, and considering the description, I expected a better fit for the 54mm IMS basket. it fits fine, but not perfect. Not worth the price.
