Hilitchi IDC Rainbow Color Flat Ribbon Cable-10 wire (15ft)

On one hand, this is just ribbon cable; if you've ever used ribbon cable before, this is probably very much like that. On the other hand, it makes me unreasonably happy and I have to give it five stars. I had a couple of projects where I was running sets of three or four 22 AWG hookup wires from place to place, both stranded and solid core. That worked but was messy and ugly. I replaced those runs with this wire and my projects look much better. It is really easy to peel the wires apart so you don't always have to make runs of 10 wires. Other than that, this is just ribbon cable.

This is High Quality Ribbon Cable . I put the wire under magnifier lamp and read : 28 AWG ; 80 Degree C ; 300 Volts . After stripped the jacket , I counted 7 strand wire for each conducted and all of it silver color . ( I mean it is coated with something to protected it from rust ... ) AMAZON shipping and packaging so good , It arrived little bit late but it OK with me , I don't upset about that . The price for this ribbon cable is a lot cheaper if compare with another seller . I highly recommended this Ribbon Cable to anyone who need the small wire for Delicate jobs . I will buy some more for spare . I spent 2 days looking for wire like this but in my local stores no one carried it . Again , do not hesitation to buy this Ribbon Cable if you need small wires . This ribbon cable is pretty nice, but it's also very tiny. It's only about a centimeter wide and maybe like 1.5mm thick (28AWG). I was expecting it to be a little bigger, maybe by about 50-75%. I'm concerned about putting voltages over 5v through it without it getting warm. Looks like the same gauge of wire as the SF heating pads! There's plenty of it and I'm sure it'll come in handy for lots of things, so it's totally worth having, but just smaller than I was expecting is all.

Used it to make an extension cable for a BLTouch sensor on my 3d printer. It did the job. A lot of ribbon has an issue with splitting the insulation when you separate but this uses quite gentle (but sturdy?) adhesive to hold them together rather than heat like other brands. Perfect for splitting/separating and just as durable.

Wire gauge is very thing and prob couldn't carry power over 3v too far with any efficiency. I could be wrong though! I just wouldn't count on it myself.

Good all purpose wires for your projects. The ribbon cable style is good especially if you don't want a lot of dangling wires and the color coding makes it easy to troubleshoot, and trace where the wires go.

Nice solid cable. The gauge is a bit small, but that shouldn't matter if using this as intended and don't expect it to handle too much current. I use this with some 2.54 mm connectors and it works great, however the small gauge makes it more difficult to line up in the connector pins.

Bought this for a raspberry pi project. It worked really well. The materials are strong that it lasted a whole year round without failure. Awesome product.
