Works great - No more constant charging
This is great solution for the Google Nest Cam to prevent constant charging. I have this setup for two cameras with no issue this far.

Perfection, no issues whatsoever
This is the second solar panel I bought. The first one is four years old and still going strong. These last four years required no maintenance whatsoever. The camera never went off-line. What an awesome match for the Google nest camera battery version..

Camera will not record 24/7 due to using solar power.
Five stars for product quality and ease of attaching to camera.. The camera it is connected to no longer shows the battery symbol but does say the camera can’t record 24/7 because “ This camera is using solar power. It can't record 24/7 video history unless it's connected to line power”. Will see. The area of this camera I would have to run several extension chords to have line power and I prefer to not have that running across the yard. Will update in about a month before my return window is closed to see if I’m keeping it and it functions properly.

Update - replacement received even though original died outside warranty
Update 10/10/24 Well, I’m sorry to say that I forgot to do the update on this. But for good reason… I have now had the replacement up in place for over a year now and I have had zero issues with it. It has constantly maintained the charge on my camera, even through last years winter, where I receive less sunlight up here in Western Washington. I would like to thank the fantastic customer support people for providing me a replacement device that not only fixed the issue, but has outlived the original product. I’m happy to update this review to a five star. Update - 5/28/23 - I received a replacement panel from the customer support reps of the product. It has resolved the failed device status and I am upping the review to 3 stars. I will provide additional information in approximately 4 months. That duration of time will be after the original one died. Original review - Easy to install. Used the same brand 2-in-1 gutter mount for the panel, as I already had the camera mounted above my garage. The cable management clips the panel comes with are garbage and I ended up using my own. The panel worked from Jan 31st when it was installed, through May 4th (possibly stopped working earlier). TL:DR - stopped working just outside warranty period Story time... I had some landscapers doing some work putting bark down in the planters in my back yard. The bark had been delivered to the front driveway, so naturally there was a lot of activity in the driveway where the camera watches. Due to this, the battery in the Nest camera drained much faster than normal. "The solar panel must not have been able to charge it as fast as the camera was consuming," I thought. I charged the camera from USB wall power, like I had at least one other time since getting the solar panel. It charged to 100%, I got the notification on my phone that it was full, got out the ladder, reinstalled the camera, and reattached the solar panel cable. When I got down from the ladder, I checked the phone to make sure the viewing angle was good. The camera was showing a battery percentage of 100%. When plugged into solar, (on the iPhone anyway) the app shows an infinity symbol instead of a battery percentage. So for whatever reason, there was no power going to the camera. I got back up on the ladder and made sure the cord was sitting snugly in the port and was in the correct orientation, yep. I then moved the ladder to the panel and made sure there was nothing on it that was blocking sunlight. Looked clean to me. Still no power. It's a simple device. Not much for an end user to mess up. Panel points towards sun, attached cord plugs into camera. It is unacceptable that a device with no moving parts, designed to sit and absorb sunlight all day, could fail so quickly. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the failure of the Wasserstein solar panel for my Nest camera. Despite following all the instructions (as limited as they were) and ensuring that everything was installed correctly, the panel failed and is no longer charging the camera battery... just outside of its warranty period, too. This cost me not only the money spent on the panel and mount but also my time and effort in installing it. Now, I am left with the options of either paying someone to run a cord into my garage and install a new outlet or going back to manually charging the camera every so often.

Get a unit that works - and it will work! Dumb issue drains battery on bad units
UPDATE: Updating this review as Wasserstein reached out and sent me some replacements in exchange for my defective units. The replacements worked as expected and shows "solar" when plugged in; my cams are back to battery + solar mode and not draining with 24/7 on mode. I had to unwire the bad units which was a pain and redo it all, but they are working. For what it is worth, the company seems really sincere regarding receiving the defective units back to see what went wrong and I received the replacements VERY fast; in my book you can't do much more than that and to make the customer whole. It was annoying and wasted a lot of my time, but any company willing to stand behind their product and make it work is at least a 4 star in my book so updating the rating. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The hardware on this panel works, but as usual with Google products, this is completely broken because of a bug. When plugged into the solar panel, the camera thinks it is “plugged in” and will go into wired mode for 24/7 recording and drain all the battery. I bought 3 of these and 1 of 3 shows “solar” properly. In solar mode, this will act normally like battery but just charge when there is sun — which is exactly how it should work. To solve this, all Google/Wasserstein had to do was to just let user select which mode the camera should operate in instead of using the stupid connector pins to decide (neat idea but overly engineered and fails).

Easy install Solar Power!!!
So happy I bought the premium solar panel charger. All the power you need for continuous monitoring, without any of the drilling or wiring. It is literally plug and play. The hardest park is finding the perfect angle for the sun because any type of shade will limit the power it absorbs. It is definitely the way to go if there are no other means of continuous power for your camera. I will purchase more especially for my shed!

Causes issues with Nest Outdoor camera
This thing has caused issues with my Nest cam. Any time it's plugged in, it causes the camera to shut off completely after about 24 hours. I have to take down the camera and reset it after disconnecting the panel to get it to turn back on. If I disconnect the panel and leave it on battery power, the camera works flawlessly. I've reached out to Wasserstein for assistance so I may update my review once they get back to me, for now it doesn't work so it's a 1/5.
