Fantastic item. Incredibly small
Fantastic item. Incredibly small. It worked with my iPhone 7 (no thanks to them for removing the headphone port and consolidated it with the lightning charger port!) Since I had to choose between charging my phone OR using the headphones, I decided to go with this little item. Now I can charge my phone at Starbucks AND watch my videos without disturbing anyone around me. This is handy for those who still have 3.5mm headphones and don't want to shell out money to buy NEW bluetooth headphones to replace it. Whether you NEED this item like I did, or you just want it so you don't have to buy new bluetooth headphone replacements, this headphone adapter is PERFECT! However, you might have to fidget with it for a while for other bluetooth devices, like my Nexus HD7 tablet where I had to change the settings to connect.

Best accessory for my pixel 2... I use every day.
This makes the switch from headphone jack to wireless headphones so much simpler. It works exactally like it ought to. However, minor flaws make it lose one star. The control panel on the device works... Most of the time... But it could be done better. Adjusting volume and skipping to next song/podcast is easier to operate on the phone than on the device. Battery life is actually awesome. Usually lasts a full day of medium to heavy use. Bluetooth connectivity works perfectly... I wait to do my reveiws for at least 2 weeks because yesterday I found that the device connected but wasn't receiving audio. I eventually got it to work through dis/re connecting a few times but it wasn't seamless. Phone calls are a bit hard to advertise because the mic doesn't actually go through your headphones, it goes through the device. So you need to either hold the end of your headphones up to your mouth, or clip it to your shirt just so you can talk. Overall, this has been the best accessory I've spent my money on for my pixel 2 sinoky because it makes it easier to use a device that ditched the traditional headphone jack. Not easy, but easier.

Excellent for using your own fave headphone with Bluetooth!
Excellent solution for using your own favorite wired headphones/earbuds over Bluetooth. Tiny, sounds great, nice clip, plenty of controls. Using it with a Pixel XL (gen 1) and all the controls (including access to the Google Assistant and phone calls) work great. I was worried about the loudness--don't, it really cranks out the volume. I destroyed my wired jack by using it at the gym and this solves that problem in a very affordable manner. Be sure to read the instructions and this product will be your favorite new friend. I also tried the BlueAnt Ribbon but the Griffin is far superior in audio performance that it's no contest.

Garbage!
Absolute garbage! IT connected to my PC using a BT adaptor, but sound quality was muffled, like an old AM radio, and the delay from video is ridiculous! As a comparison, I have a pair of Kinivo BT headsets that connect to the PC throught the same adaptor and sound is good and video delay is unnoticeable. So those reviewers stating that video delay is inherent with BT have obviously never used a decent pair of BT headsets. FYI, the Kinivo's are only $20-$30, so definitely not high-end. The Griffin would not connect correctly to my phone (Moto X Pure). It would pair, but then they would not be accepted as a headset or headphones. Apparently the BT drivers used in the Griffin are ancient. Their useless tech support simply blamed the phone. Again, the Kinivo's connect just fine to the phone and have no video sync issues. Tried to return only to have Amazon return to me saying I didn't send to the correct address EVEN THOUGH I USED THE STINKING LABEL AMAZON PROVIDED!!!! Of course I had to pay for shipping for the return, so now I'm out the original cost plus another $7 due to Amazon's stupidity!

Analysis: Rating: +/- Zero. General Distortion + Extra Bass Distortion
Product: Griffin iTrip Clip, $20, BlueTooth mid low-fi receiver with remote control functions for volume, track selection, call receiving, pairing, on/off. Background: I'm an acoustic engineer, recording engineer, broadcaster, musician, loudspeaker engineer, inventor. Summary This is a very cute integrated product. The button functionality works well. Instructions in & on the package are non-existent. You must go to YouTube to watch the instructions for about 3 minutes. I would recommend this product if you are using in-ear 'phones of low quality ($30 or less), or you don't have refined ears. Audiophiles must look elsewhere for good sound. This product only delivers so much: volume, fidelity, time. What it does deliver is delivered in an ideal form factor: small size, good functional keys. Low volume output, hence the caveat to use very efficient headphones, or in-ear 'phones, only. At this price point, it's going to be impossible to find high power output, or high fidelity, or long battery life. This is a regular consumer product that stands out for convenience, size, functionality. Situation = Compact Product = Usual 30' broadcasting radius = Instruction available on YouTube: TheRealGriffinTech: iTrip Clip = Can be used as low fidelity BlueTooth receiver for hours for anything, including: earphones, very efficient closed headphones, headphones with amplifiers, active speakers that don't already have BlueTooth Pros + Good functionality + Works well for voice in telephone calls + Good keys + Reasonable price + Stays paired between on and off on my Samsung Cons - 4 to 6 hour run time is all you could expect for such small battery size, light weight, compact size. Battery is not replaceable. - General distortion: suitable for lower quality equipment, earphones, cars. - Bass Distortion, will not pump out much volume. Not for bassheads. - Requires equalization: 2 lowest musical octaves missing. - 1 highest musical octave missing. - Remaining treble has no phase coherence, transient response, et cetera. - In-ear beeping when you change anything, including volume, can be annoying. This is not audiophile quality gear.

It says on the packet makes any wired headphones wireless but it doesn’t! All it does is remove need to plug into a phone but you still need your wired headphones.

Für volle Lautstärke muss man also beides voll aufdrehen.
