SLIDERS COMPLETE

Product Review for the October 2016 Release of Sliders: The Complete Series
You get what you pay for, no frills, just bare bones...Once again, a good show like Sliders has been released in cheap packaging. All 15 discs are packaged in thin, double sided cardboard sleeves. Brand new out of the box, some of the discs have very light scratches and the last disc in my set had a finger print on the playing surface. There are zero special features, no informational inserts of any kind, and nothing written about the series except for the feeble description on the back of the case. Even though the Cro-Mags would have treated the release of this series with more respect, I'm giving this set 5 stars because you get ALL 5 seasons for under $25, ALL the discs are single sided, the transfer of picture and sound of EVERY episode is clean, the very slim case saves shelf space, and the episodes are ALL finally in the correct order. As far as how I would rate the series itself, the first 2 seasons are the best and I'd give the entire series 3.5 stars because understandably, some of the CGI is not very good and some of the acting is bad. Overall: Buy this set because it's a good deal!

Excellent
Delivery was ahead of schedule, no doubt of quality because of the product being new. And, obviously "Sliders" is one of the best shows ever made so I'm happy that I have a hard copy of every episode again, I wore my other copy out lol.

Amazing Premise
In an era where everything gets a reboot, a sequel, or a prequel, this gem sits untouched. The premise is fantastic. Quinn Malory (a brilliant physics student) develops a handheld device that opens wormholes to parallel Earth(s), after which he enters the portal only to find out he can't return to his Earth. Along for the ride are Prof. Maximilian Arturo, Wade Welles, and Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown. As the group "Slide" from Earth to Earth, they encounter some exciting alternate realities. This show is a must-watch for any sci-fi fan. I know there will never be a big-budget remake; I would have to slide to a parallel Earth for that.

Enjoyable 90's sci-fi show. Wish the video quality was better.
I think seasons 1-3 were the best. This and the 80's twilight zone were both worth the money to me buying them for similar reasons. I really just wish the video quality was better. Streaming this show over Netflix and hulu when they had it on their platforms showed a much better picture. I can't help wondering if a blu-ray release would have helped even if the source wasn't able to quite up to par for it.Could not thumbs up highly enough if you enjoy the idea of people entering a whole new world each episode. It's well done I think in a charming way.My basic ratingsContent: 5/5Packaging: 3/5Video quality: 2.5/5

Great Value! Don't trust nit-picking reviews.
People are nit-picking. Its not hi-def, however it is better than acceptable. I would actually even say that I didnt really even notice much of a lower resolution until I read some of these other reviews. Some people will just never be satisfied and I think it makes them feel important to point out every little thing that isn't perfect. If you like the show like I did, get it. Complete 5 seasons for this price.... it is a great value and a very good show.

What if.... world events had different results. Like no penicillin
Wow what a great set of DVDs that has the whole series in the order it aired which allows you to follow the show along I really enjoyed sharing this with my kiddo he really got into it and some of the episodes are so funny from back then as two things going on in our world today. One episode even has Hillary Clinton as president how close that came to be not too long ago if you're not familiar with the series check it out same world different dimensions sometimes green mean stop and red means go somewhere we won some words we den and the outcomes they had. Remember when we were concerned about the hole in the ozone layer one episode here addresses that and the world powers are the men who are still fertile after the problem of the ozone layer.
