Amazing!
This desk is just amazing. It’s simply beautiful, very well built. Sturdy etc. I just can’t say enough good things about it! I will say, it is VERY heavy. And our office would be set up on the third floor of our house, that was definitely fun. But we got it up there and set up in under an hour! I am not disappointed. It’s so beautiful, the wood it beautifully stained. It’s think strong wood, amazing colors. The controls are all very well built. Very easy to assemble as the directions are easily understood put in step by step order. Even getting it flipped right side up after assembly was easier than we first thought. I must admit, I was a bit nervous but he flipped that thing right over and it didn’t budge or hurt a thing. Just amazing. I just wish they had it in “L” shape so I could have the same one. Sadly they didn’t and the one I got was no where near as nice as his. But I still get to enjoy it by looking over at it jealously lol. Definitely highly recommend and worth every penny!

Will not disappoint! I highly recommend, just get help to move it around. It's heavy!
I like my Vari desk a great deal. Being able to raise and lower the desk top is great. You can find the perfect height any time. It assembles fairly easily but will take a little time. The only downside is that the desk is very heavy. You assemble upside down, then have to flip the desk over. I recommend a second set of hands to do this. The material for the desktop and legs is of high quality. There was nothing about the desk that I thought felt cheap. I have used this for almost 5 years now, and it still looks as good as the day I assembled it. The motor still works flawlessly. I was able to clamp dual monitor stands, a boom microphone, and a laptop stand very easily. The desk is the perfect size for me.

OMG The Desk I've Been Waiting for My Whole Life
Purchased the butcher block color.... I am 5'3" and I put this desk together by myself. I had my 14-year-old son help me drag the one box in that contained the top and had him help me flip it once it was assembled. Other than that, I did it all myself. I can NOT believe how easy it was to put together. I have put so many desks together in my lifetime, and I can tell you that this was by far the easiest and only took me 20-25 minutes total. I LOVE this desk. It's the real deal. The cable box attachment add-on purchase is a must. This desk is so sturdy and gorgeous. You will love it. Literally, took one try w/out reading the directions to program 3 stops, and they all have worked without a flaw. Not sure why other people have posted it doesn’t remember the settings. So smooth and quiet when it moves. My back, shoulders, wrists, neck are all thanking Vari already. I was miserable with the 3 other desks I had before because of pain. Love that I can now stand some during the day. I did buy some additional stick-on cable guides from Amazon, which I highly recommend b/c you'll need to run / hide the cable going into the cable box. OMG!! I just can't tell you how much I love this desk. I did not want to spend this much money, but I work from a Mac and a PC, with a consulting job on the side and need to check-in with that some throughout the day. I couldn't find a workable KVM switch, so I have to have two keyboards, two mice, and monitors. This is a brilliant solution. I just slide back and forth to each one throughout the day. Invest the money if you’re a full-time work-from-home person. It’s worth it!! Oh and shipping was like 1 day. Also, I did buy an 8-outlet surge protection power strip from Amazon. The one on Vari’s website was too short. I wanted to max out the space. I think the strip is 17” long and the cable component is 21”, so room left over. Couldn’t find a 10-outlet so I settled with 8.

Solid as can be, simple assembly, NOT a lightweight!
First: yes, you will love this desk. Everything about it feels like high-end corporate-grade furniture - because it is. All the edges are rounded and the materials are absolutely solid and heavy. A word on that later. First, assembly: It literally could not have been any easier. Four bolts that are made of high-quality machine steel on each side, two hold the leg to the surface, two hold the feet to the legs. One of the big reasons I shelled out the bucks for this was the comments on how easy it was to assemble. Absolutely lived up to the promise. Second: Not injuring yourself while assembling or placing this terrific desk. It weighs something like 160 pounds. Get a friend, get someone, just to help you move it around. It's simply too heavy and unwieldy for one person to do - this is NOT cheap, fall-apart-in-six-months furniture, this is the kind that two burly installers set up in office buildings. Third: Take a few minutes to put your computer, monitor(s), keyboard where you think you'll like them, but don't cable them up yet. Think about different tasks you do - do you need room for a notepad, a book, that other laptop or tablet? Here comes the fun part. Raise the desk up near its maximum height. Do you have an office chair that adjusts in height a bit? I bet you do. Lower it a bit, and you now have the world's most comfortable mechanical creeper. Now, take a big ol 8 or 10 outlet power strip and use some double-sided hook and loop tape to put it close to the side where you'll plug into an outlet. Then start with the other things. That ugly docking station for the laptop. The power bricks for it, for your monitor, whatever. Fasten those things to the bottom of the surface, because now you can route all of those cables and they can stay neatly out of sight. Get yourself a roll of hook-and-loop cable fastener (a couple are included with the desk). I ended up with exactly two cables going from the desk to the wall - one for power, one for network (I also stuck an 8-port network switch to the bottom, they're cheap and you will be grateful NEVER HAVING TO LOOK AT A FLOOR COVERED WITH SPAGHETTI AGAIN. That's the unexpected benefit of this desk. I got back all of the floor area under it and next to it that used to have an ugly mass of HDMI, power, USB, and network cables. I wanted to knock off one star on cost just because it's not cheap. This is one of the most expensive desks on the market. But in the end, I really got what I paid for: No surprises at all, no shortcuts, no "hope you have a cabinet full of power tools". In 20 minutes, I went from two boxes to playing with the height. That fast. So yeah, it was a very expensive purchase, but I expect to get a lot of use out of it and I simply can't find anything to complain about. Oh, just go ahead and buy it already.

I've used it for a week. Assembly was dead simple. Really high build quality; it feels like it will last forever. Very smooth and relatively quiet motion. Nice touch with included small accessories added in but adding a cable management tray would have been ideal. I guess I'll have look into that as well to complete the look.

Chose the old wood; fits my decor perfectly. Looks and feels indestructible. Easy to assemble and I have trouble assembling anything.

I bought this desk a few months ago after completing an ergonomic assessment. I am a very short person and this desk offered the settings I needed to ensure I can both sit and stand comfortably. Although the tabletop is heavy, this desk is easy to put together. Takes roughly 10 minutes to assemble. The rustic tabletop is beautiful and provides enough space to fit my laptop and dual monitors while still having space to place my other office equipment. The settings function extremely well and are well responsive. I have not experienced any issues. I highly recommend this product!

I've had this table for 3 months and it is definitely worth the money. It's super heavy so it's extremely sturdy. My partner put it together really quickly without my help. It has memory settings for easy height changes which is very nice. The tabletop is also really nice looking even though it's not actual rustic wood, it mimics that look very well.
