Q: Can you please start selling the pre-filter sponges separately or sadly I'll have to replace this fountain with something else.

I purchased a bag of the foam pre-filters of similar size from another Amazon source. They have a slightly rounded shape on one side of the filter, but they fit and work fine with my fountain.

Hello, the purpose of the sponge is to protect the pump and filter impurities to prevent impurities from entering the pump, so the sponge is sleeved on the pump.

Q: How often do you change the pre- filter sponge?

The recommended replacement of the pre-filter sponge is 2-4 weeks. When you change the water to clean the cat fountain and the filter, it is recommended to also clean the pre-filter sponge.

Q: Why does the water not bubble up anymore?

As a pet owner, I clean all parts of the fountain with q tips a toothbrush and soapy paper towels and rinse all parts. Even to take apart the motor. Inside the motor has a propeller which has to be removed using a pair of pliers. With a q tip I push it into and around the metal rod. Dirt and mold can accumulate rinse all parts put back together making sure the electrical connection doesn't get wet.I change the large white filter every 1-1/2 - 2 weeks. And the small filter once a week. Cats gurgitate sometimes and the water gets slimy. If after you clean the bowl and all the parts and the motor no longer works. You may need a new motor. Good luck
