Works well. But ignition soon fails. But not a problem.

Bought to replace old unit that lasted years. Very quick delivery. Ideal for shingle paths and veg beds in garden to despatch weeds as I don't like to use weedkillers due to risk to animals, wildlife and crops. Simple to use and works fine (especially against annual weeds, perennials will need repeat treatments (especially horsetail)). Remember you don't need to incinerate, just heat weeds enough that internal cells are destroyed then weeds will wither in a few days. Also find gun useful for shou sugi ban technique when replacing boards on raised beds. Easy to do and done properly gives good protection to wood without the need for wood preservative that could leach into soil. Two issues I have encountered is that the wand is not that long and I have to stoop to treat the weeds (I'm only 5' 11" so not a giant! ) and the flame appears low powered and seems to take an age to see weeds wilt, not sure if this is down to pressure in the canister, seal where canister fits to wand or that gas is butane rather than propane or a mix of all three.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY. I have given 5 stars simply to catch your attention. The fact is this is a piece of absolute danger. The cannister does NOT, I REPEAT NOT, fit correctly and simply drops off. After then reading the MANY 1 star reviews I am disappointed that I purchased this. Yes customer service offered a refund upon return, but should have refunded or replaced without the many emails we sent to each other. Buy at your peril. READ ALL 1 star reviews before parting ways with your money.

This broke on first use and though the company said they would refund me, they have not done so after a month of me trying to chase them. I would avoid both the product and the company.

On first use this item, weed burner was great. However, the next use the ignition button has stopped working and we have since had to use an extended flame to ignite the gas.

very impressed with delivery, it arrived 2 days earlier than was i was informed. It works really well at killing the weeds, it heats up really well and very quickly, it does get very hot, made sure we had water ready in the garden if needed, it kills the weeds very quickly and does a really good job. Very good value for money, got it with the 4 canisters. Its very easy and straight forward to use. Instructions are easy to follow. We have an average size garden and we did all the weeds with 1 canister. Would highly recommend this product.

Works well. The only reason that it is not 5stars is because I found it difficult to attach the gas. But that could be my fault. Heat output is good. Best to use it when it’s not windy I used it on my drive which is approx 7m and it used 1 can. I can recommend this product it is good quality and handy not to have to use extensions.

Really handy gadget and saves all that bending. Works well on weeds between slabs and gravel. Not so efficient on more compacted thick leafy weeds. One can of propane lasts about an hour. Very easy to set up.
