Best I've bought thus far
These are excellent, HUGE, gorgeous leaves with a bounty of tannins released almost immediately. My snails love them!

Vacuum sealed packaging kept leaves dry, Quantity of leaf sizes to choose from. Good quality.
These Almond leaves from Matchimaa were the perfect solution for my new Betta tank. As soon as I noticed that my newest fish baby was struggling I hopped on Amazon. Delivery was next day. After only 24 hours “Waffles” movements were significantly healthier looking and he seemed generally happier. The package came vacuum sealed so the leaves were fresh. The amount of leaves included and the variety of sizes was quite generous, allowing me to find just the right leaf for my 5 gallon tank. The water from the tannins was visually apparent not long into day one but the leaf did sink by day two. Overall, and based on my initial experience , I would highly recommend this product for any size tank. Fantastic quality, and quantity for the price. One final comment, the package states the leaves are good for up to one year given they are properly stored.

Great for Shrimp!
Excellent quality. Photo in review is a newer leaf in tank that’s now waterlogged, other photo is an “after” when the shrimp have picked the leaf clean. Even unopened, the bag smells like fresh leaves. One bag easily covers my 10- and 30-gallon tanks. It includes a mix of small and very large leaves—I break big ones in half or combine two small ones as needed. Leaves waterlog and sink after a couple days. I place three (left/back/right) so shrimp always find a snack alongside the glass biofilm and any extra food. I use them as steady shrimp forage and general health support—perfect for vacations or low-attention weeks. When I once overfed and vorticella flared in my 30-gallon, adding a couple leaves every other day (tea-staining the water with tannins) helped knock it back in ~2–4 weeks.

Good quality. No water difference. Sank, after a few days. Big 8" leaves!!
Love this, but know that it is pretty big. I put one leaf inside a 20 gallon aquarium. Its about 9"x5" it floated at first, but soon sank. I didnt notice any difference in the water quality at all. It didnt make it darker or clearer, just didnt seem to make a difference. Its a high quality though. Came well packaged. And i got several of these big, intact leaves.

Great quality and value
I've ordered a lot of IAL over the years for my bettas and our naturally hard, high PH mountain water, and this is the best I've received. The leaves are thoroughly dry, but still a bit supple, with color and a pleasant "leafy" smell. Most I've received have been brown, brittle and odorless. I expected small leaves, but they are pretty large. The packaging has a lot of good information and shows that some thought went into it. It isn't just a cheap unmarked plastic bag to maximize profit like I often received. There is also "manufactured" and "best if used by" dates, which aren't required, but a nice touch. Very happy.

A must have in your tank!
I was skeptical of using these but WOW . I put one in all our tanks (total of 4) and within a couple of days we noticed positive changes in our fish! Especially the bettas , they look happier, healthier and even more social than usual. We also just rescued a sick male betta from a Pet Smart, his fins were crinkled and he has a curved looking spine and would just lay at the bottom of cup . Got him in his own 10 gal tank , added real plants and a Almond leaf and filter . We are on day 3 with him and he’s up swimming around , perching himself on top of a floating plant all happy. Like literally a whole new betta . His colors are a little more vibrant, can see glimpses of greens/blues in his red body. He literally was like gray red lifeless looking guy 3 days ago . He seems to hang around more around the leaf . Our snails are all over the leafs too. For us , we cut the leafs depending on tank size and how dark or clear you want the water.

Great for Bettas!
I rescued a couple Bettas from one of my local pet stores that was in their cups for months. I brought them home and put them in their tanks with two of these leaves each, and they already looked better within a couple of days. I feel like the tannins in these leaves helped a lot with his stress. I have them in all 4 of my Betta’s tanks and I think that it is helping all of them with their fins and health. They were all recent rescues and they are all healing pretty fast.

Expensive for a few leaves. Yet i did buy them all the same. However, after seeing how they conditioned the water and how my shrimp love them, i'd buy them again.

Great product. Delivered fast. Large size leafs which is a positive as they don’t break down in your aquarium quickly. I personally like to always have at least 1 Indian almond leaf in my aquarium as there are many benefits. They naturally lower the ph in the water and have anti fungal and anti microbial properties working to keep your fish healthy.

Hands down best almond leaf i ever put in my tank. Amazing quality, solid supplier, lots of tannins. Definetely worth the price. Pretty big too. Half of one per 10gal goes a long way. I replace them weekly. Love it!
