This kit was an excellent value for a beginning candle maker. I was looking for a new hobby to try while my son began kindergarten that was relaxing, fun and rewarding. This kit was perfect for me. I loved everything it included. I have used it several times and so far it has worked very effectively. I loved that it came with online instructions. I loved the quality packaging and even higher quality materials. I actually like that it’s a simple kit because it allows for lots of creativity and room for learning, growth and experimentation. This kit would make a stand out gift for ANYONE who would like to try something new and likes to learn a new skill. Candle making has been fun, rewarding and relaxing so far and I can’t wait to try more!

First let me say how clever the box / design is. I laughed .. out loud. It says I know you’ve been waiting for me … funny ! The kit comes with everything I needed to get started for a classic simple candle. I, myself enjoy scented so I was blown away by how easy it was to place the perfect amount of wax and toss in some essential oil fragrance and before I knew what happens I was three scents in and my house smells fantastic! Lol the kit has a LOT of wax so whatever the project , you’re well on your way ! Plus , you aren’t paying a small fortune for the candles you’d buy at that huge retail place I won’t mention .. I LOVE MY CANDLES ! I am going to need to find the happy medium for the temperature to get the wick to stay stable on the bottom of the containers but other than that , it was so easy to mix , melt and pour into my containers . Awesome ! Also , I got creative and added some small pine cones from my ranch to the wax and added a pine and apple scent with a cinnamon stick ..it smells like Christmas time at our cabin for sure ! :) enjoy yourself , happy creating !

This kit is awesome. It includes everything you need except for the scented oil. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, and I really got a nice laugh out of the numerous mild sarcasm they included in the safety instructions for the hot plate. I love a good sense of humor! 😁 The hot plate and other tools were all excellent quality, and the soy wax itself seemed top notch to me, though admittedly this is my first time ever trying candle making. The manufacturer clearly cares about quality, and again, I liked their sense of humor and style. I’ll definitely buy from them again if I get the opportunity to do so! I would absolutely recommend this kit. I got it on sale, but it’s worth the usual full price. The candles I made with this kit were a big hit on Christmas! I didn’t use the wicks included in the kit, but they also seemed great quality as well. I ordered wood wicks instead and really enjoyed those.

I wish the pouring pot came with markings for easier measurements but it is very nice quality , stainless steel. The wicks are nice and sturdy, not flimsy at all. Wax feels good and is nice and soft, no weird smell. The heating pot has nice rubbery feet so it won’t slide around easily, which really helps with safety. And last but not least- the awesome motivational quotes on the box was so cute and inspiring! Loved that little touch! Great beginner set! I would have given it a 5 stars if the pouring cup came with measurements.

I love this kit! It had everything I needed to make a few candles! The wax worked great and I was able to add the scent I wanted and it smells great! I would use this company again in the future. It was easy to use and had great/humorous instructions to follow.

So this came fragrance free which I love! And the little hot pot is just small and outside put away the large enough to have on your counter and it gets extremely hot, don’t put your finger on the eye my slipped and burn myself but it wasn’t too bad. I have so many vessels in the house and just the 5 pounds alone manage to have me fill 4 small vessels (7.1 oz) one medium (26 oz) and one large 36 oz. I also have a extremely small ones that’s like 2 ounces that filled up as well. is not an easy thing to do because centering the wicks is the tricky part but melting a filling is fun and easy

The wax is good quality and has no smell which is great, I wish the pouring pot was much bigger, you couldn’t fit a whole pound of wax in it without being able to stir. The biggest problem is the hot plate, it keeps turning on and off and it takes a long time to heat up the wax, so I’m going to have to buy something new. Overall it’s not horrible, just wish the hot plate was better quality.

After years of purchasing soy wax melts, I decided to try my hand at making my own. So far I've used this twice, and it was a success both times. There are a few additional things needed, though. A digital scale and thermometer were purchased separately, but they're not very expensive; candle dyes aren't, either. I'm buying all my scents from an outside vendor. Another thing I bought is a funnel pouring pitcher; it's so much easier. All in all, this will prove to be much more affordable than buying the melts, plus I can pick any scent or color I want.

The heating portion of the hot plate is 4½ inch in diameter... takes forever to heat the wax in a double boiler. The wax smells bad The only thing I like is the spoon! well, the cup is OK as too Would not recommand unless you are making one small candle at the time and you have all the time in the world

I received my package ripped open and left on front porch as pictured. It is missing the melting pot, wicks, and wick holders. I only received the wax, hot plate and the spoon. Extremely unimpressed. On top of this. I figured I’d still make use of the wax. This is NOT soy wax!! I’m fairly certain this wax is crisco!

Good packaging, easy to use, perfect for beginner.
