I want to set my hair downwards and this looks like your hair has to be pulled up and back, can this set hair in a downward position?

I use this dryer for my natural curls. I use a hair net to gather them and use the hood. It works like a charm! I love this dryer!

Can you wear this outside?

You can wear the hood but it has to have a blow dryer attached to it for it to dry your hair. This is not a normal bonnet people wear to protect their hair it is a bonnet hood hair dryer attachment.
