Specifically how well does the adapter fit Tom's brand regular and travel size tootpaste tubes?

I use mine for Tom's Peppermint. It fits the regular size Tom's tube perfectly. I've never tried the travel size.

Some have complained it's difficult to fill because of air in the tube. Has anyone tried pressing the tube flat and holding it down while filling?

Once the small tube was filled with air, I unscrewed the large tube, then gently forced out a bit of air from small tube then attached big tube again & was able to get more toothpaste in so it was pretty much full.

Do you have to use their refill tubes or can I transfer to a regular travel toothpaste tube?

You need their transfer tube because it is threaded on both ends but if your tube mates I guess that could work. One frustrating thing is that there is no way to release the air pressure that builds up in the travel tube so I have to back off the transfer tube which results in toothpaste leaking out and being wasted.

How much toothpaste does this hold? Is it a weeks worth? 2 weeks?

Yes it is plenty for a month. Great product!
