Excellent Value for Tinning Fine Wires – Just Wish It Came Smaller
For the price, this is a no-brainer. I use it occasionally to tin wires, especially challenging ones like ultra-thin bundles of enameled wire commonly found in audio work. For that purpose, it works perfectly. The build quality isn't the best, but it functions well so far. Heating is a bit slow, durability questionable, but at $15, that's a reasonable tradeoff. I do wish it came in a smaller size—maybe around 25ml or even 12ml—as the included 50mm pot is still oversized for occasional fine wire work.Overall, this is a functional, budget-friendly tool that's great for light-duty use. Excellent value for the money!

Tough little guy
This cheap little pot has lasted a couple years. Sloshed solder etc. no problem.

Cheap enough to buy if you know how to fit it. Works good
It works but built quality is concerning. You need to open the unit and look inside before you use it. Trust me its a good idea to see what's inside. Check the gounding on case and make sure ground wire is connected and case is grounded. Mine had the ground screw loose and a heater element connection loose. The element connections are aluminium and can't be soldered back without aluminum solder. You may need to clamp it with conectors. Check the heat knob board make sure nothing is touching the case that may cause shock or short. If you dont know how to do all this dont buy it its a fire hazard.

Garbage
Buyer beware. This is the cheapest and the most worthless piece of c***I've ever seen this item does not even come with the owner's manual no manual to tell you how to replace the pod.It is so cheaply made that it's so flimsy. You pick it up at bends, try to return. But then they want to charge me for return, even though it says free return. Or just give me credit to buy something else?Talk about bait and switch

useful but not long term
I got about 6 months of regular use out of it. Then the rocker switch seemed to melt and I was unable to turn it off when it was hot. Then it just stopped heating altogether. It seems like a product meant to fail after some regular use of just a few months. And the company is hard to get in touch with. Maybe treat this as a temporary solution. I may just get a new one since they're so cheap ($15) it's easier than hassling with a return. +JMJ+

Good solder pot that is good for hobbyist
Great solder pot. Takes a bit to heat up but is very consistent and works well. Includes an extra pot which is nice. Built well and easy to use. Size is great for my bench and not too large.
