A really nice and compact mechanical keyboard with great lighting options, switch types and caps.
Have had a few mechanical keyboards over the years and this one really ticks all the boxes for me, the lighting is very even, with controllable brightness, a good choice of patterns if you enjoy that kind of presentation, I just left it on the white backlight and it looks nice and clear. Key presses feel good and make the sound one expects from mechanical switches, plenty of choices here regarding type of switches and caps, they are all user replaceable so you can swop and change both switch and cap to suit, and best of all if a switch should fail, you can just lift it from the base unit and replace with another of choice from a great selection of switches and caps available on Amazon. Customer service was quick to respond and sorted out some issues I had trying to optimise the keyboard to my specific requirement, the usual pains when trying to get the keyboard to do exactly what you want and I have to say that their technical service is the best experience I have had to date. Thank you RK. Only time will tell how the keyboard will perform in the coming years but I am happy to know that I can replace the usual suspects when they fail but for now I am most impressed by the build, value and feature set of this unit. Well done RK.

My Favourite Keyboard
Over the last few months I have been through about 12 different Mechanical and chicklet style keyboards on a seemingly never ending quest to find the perfect Keeb. I still haven't got there but this one was my absolute favourite of all of them. I had the Red switch version and it was lovely. The switches were nicely lubed so weren't too loud and didn't feel gritty. The stabilisers were a touch on the loud/lose side, louder than my Keychron K8, but not at bad as some I have tried out at all. There wasn't too much in the way of pinging from the case so I suspect there MAY be some sort of sound deadening in there but I don't know as I didn't open the case to check. It would have been nice to have seen PBT keycaps rather than ABS but at this price point that's fairly rare so I can't really deduct any points for that however adding a cheapo set of PBT keycaps would bring this board up to the £100 range and I still think that would be a fair overall price for it. You get Bluetooth connectivity for upto three devices which works without a hitch. I switched it between my work laptop and person gaming PC daily and it is quick to change and respond. If you leave the board alone for a bit it will switch off the BT to save battery and like most BT boards there is a second or so delay in it re-activating and re-connecting but nothing as major as I saw with the Keychron mentioned earlier. Backlighting is decent and bright and has many different settings for how you want the lights to work or how bright they are and the colour. I personally liked the multicoloured one, I think it works well with the white. The board has many different media functions and things but I didn't test any of them as I don't care about that sort of stuff. I would imagine it works fine though, this is a very well put together board. The case does not have flick out feet but you do get magnetic feet which attach to the back. These work well and put the board into a really nice typing angle and if you want to game you can just flick them off and it's in a decent gaming angle. Kick out feet would have been better but this solution works just fine. There is a band around the case which you can remove so that you can have either floating keys or sunken ones, whichever floats your boat. It's pretty hard to get off but this means it's not lose and rattly, adding sound to the board. Battery life if good. I only had to charge it once. I think you get something like 10 hours if you have all the RGB going all the time but if you turn it off you will get many many more hours. Not sure of the official figure but you'll be good for a week or more between charges I would think. Also depends on how much you used it too. I think this keyboard is an excellent starting point in the world of mechanical boards. It's hot swappable so you can modify it to your hearts content, it's wireless so you can use it with multiple devices, it's got all the function and arrow keys so you don't need to worry about annoying modifiers and at the same time it's more compact than a traditional TKL board. There are some things which I would like to see improved, Options without backlight, Black option, PBT Keycaps and quieter stabilisers but overall this has been my favourite board out of all the mechanical ones I have tested so far.

Great product!
Great keyboard! Overall happy with the keyboard. Bought this keyboard a few years ago and it’s still functioning well with no issues even bought some compatible keycaps for the keyboard, the app that comes with the product has a lot of customisation options and macros that you can use. The sound quality of the red switches are very satisfying and genuinely nice to hear with a quick response time while gaming in competitive games. Overall really happy with this keyboard only thing I would say is the battery does run out quite quick after some years so you will have to keep it on charge a lot of the time.

Best keyboard
Keyboard feels and sounds really nice, perfect for gaming has a very low latency on wireless mode and bluetooth, small and compact so desk space needed is minimum, but still has all the important keys. The key caps i have on were bought separately from somewhere else, but there original white keys look super clean and feel very high quality, RGB lights also look amazing with good customising options on the software

Great portable mechanical keyboard
I wanted a solid, sturdy Bluetooth mechanical keyboard to pair with my tablet for those times I needed to write but was away from my desktop and wired Steelseries M400. I did have a Tecknet but the Royal Kludge is much better. Connectivity is excellent with both the Bluetooth and the wireless. You can also use it wired via the USB-C port but I tend not to. It charges up quickly enough and a full charge lasts for many hours. Whereas the Tecknet felt cheap and a bit flimsy, the RK is a bit like my Steelseries' chunky younger brother - built like a tank with satisfyingly tactile, clunky keys/switches. If it was stolen or lost or, more improbably, dropped by me into a murky canal, I would have no hesitation in buying another one immediately.

Amazing budget mech keyboard for modding
This is my second mechanical keyboard I have bought and it is very solid due to the modding capability. The body is very sturdy for plastic and there no rattle at all although I would recommend using some case foam to add to the solid sound and make it sound a bit less hollow. If you are moving over from a laptop the red switches are usually a safe bet although if you fall down the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole you will find that changing the switches out to something better will always be the case. The pre lubing on the stabilizers is not great so it is recommended to clean and lube them again as it helps reduce rattle. The rgb lighting is very customizable and very bright which is great although do bear in mind that it is a north facing led which will cause interference with cherry profile keycaps if you plan on buying keycaps. The noticeable cons are the software and the 2.4ghz connectivity range. Personally I use my keyboard plugged so I didn't mind the short range and the rgb modes can be switched through keyboard shortcuts so you can work the keyboard without the software. I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a mechanical keyboard and if you are looking into keyboard modding, this is a really solid beginner friendly product and saves desk space without sacrificing the F keys.

Fairly built keyboard
A good keyboard for normal use or even gaming Negatives: - Software is poor in features, could be better - Keycaps wearing out fast using the keyboard for gaming wasd got really smooth - I wish it could have more steps in the Speed of animations and better colors as in RGB mode it seems really childish with poor colors, but to be fair it is much better in other settings. - Cannot configure your own color even with software. Positives: + compact and has additional steps to change its angle + Retractable frame for Skeleton like style + Some lightning settings are nice to have for this price. + Has 2 USB A that can charge something which is really good feature to have

Great keyboard
Small/neat size, comfortable typing, lights up with nice colours. Battery life is about a week with good use. Has Bluetooth. Keyboard USB’s are very handy. Good Quality Packaging wasn’t good as came in original box and no protection, make sure you opt for Amazon packaging, which should be made clearer when purchasing. Thankfully keyboard wasn’t damaged. Bought two of these and both recipients loved them.
