reading this for more background knowledge for CTEL 3
This book is very informative. Teachers can take the hands on activities and utilize them immediately. There are things like a parent questionnaire for home visits, self assessments for students, and much much more. Highly recommend.

Excellent Book for all Teachers and Student Teachers
My professor for American Education used this book and I love the ideas it offers for fully integrating culture into everyday lessons.Cultural activities in the classroom shouldn't be put on as a "big deal" and this book shows how they can become part of everything we teach and everything the students see. As educators, we need to teach children to recognize and appreciate each-others differences above our similarities. In doing this, we are shining a positive light on these differences and in that, children can grow to become more accepting of our diverse nation and world we live in.
