Excellent book I highlighly recommend it. HOWEVER, the seller sent this is a thin plastic bag and this was shipped from the US to the UK so naturally the paperback book took a battering! Really irresponsible and foolish! Please have some common sense and pack the book with protective bubble wrap!!!!

I have read Mr Cho's other JADAM book (orange) and that was very interesting, it focused more on his personal philosophy and learning path, and laid out the basics of this asian method of agriculture - so unfamiliar to western gardeners. The orange book then gave valuable information on actual solutions to use for farming and gardening to improve microbial life and nutrient availability for plants. It was a general treatment of the subject of reclaiming agriculture, and using homemade brews to feed our plants and soil - with excellent scientific detail. THIS book is focused on insect pests and diseases, and had much less information on the mindset and philosophy of the system. That may be a good thing, if you simply want to intently focus on conquering the disease issues that so often plague farmers and gardeners (as I did). The book is laid out very well with a comprehensive reference section in the back, to refer to pests / diseases by common name and latin name, and the photographs are exquisite!! Each pest or disease has a prescription for spraying it for control or elimination, using organic, easily made solutions that are extremely cost effective - and are claimed to work really well. The instructions for making each solution are extremely clear and documented with photographs for each step, and plenty of data. This is a not an airy-fairy anecdotal organic book. It comes with plenty of thought provoking ideas, well documented information, and generous help to anyone who is willing to take the time to read it. I have not yet made the solutions myself, but I have purchased the ingredients to do so at the first opportunity. I will update my review (if I remember), with results or observations. HIGHLY recommend this book to any enquiring gardener or farmer who has wondered if there might be a better way of controlling pests and diseases organically, for little cost.

Great book, really a bible for those that want an alternative to store bought chemicals/want to go organic. Highly recommended

Jadam is an amazing system to stop being a consumer of the big companies for pesticides etc. Grab it.
