Razer DeathAdder: A Gaming Mouse Worth the Hype
The Razer DeathAdder is a top-tier gaming mouse known for its comfort, precision, and customization. Its ergonomic design is ideal for palm and claw grip users, providing a comfortable feel during long gaming sessions. The high-DPI optical sensor ensures incredible accuracy and responsiveness, while the optical switches offer a crisp click. To unlock the mouse's full potential, Razer Synapse software is essential for customizing settings like DPI and button mapping. Without it, you may find the mouse unresponsive in some games like I did with 'Helldivers 2'. The DeathAdder is an excellent investment for any serious gamer. While it's worth its full price, waiting for a sale offers a phenomenal value in my opinion.

Bloody good mouse
Honestly its the best mouse for the price. has some weight to is but glides across like butter. For me personally its great for a person with larger hands too. No gimmicky 10 extra button just two extra by the thumb.

Great mouse
I am very happy with the Razor Deathadder. Moves smooth, is not too heavy and the mouse seems very sturdy. The only downside is that you are prompted to download the color scheme to change the colors but the deathadder Essential is unable to change the RGB color. So you are stuck with green. Which is contrary to what it says in the manual. Other than that you can modify the mouse to your likening with the provided program and this makes it very very customer friendly. The mouse wheel works great. After having used a lot of mice, I can say that this is a great one for gaming especially. Just feels like my old copperhead tempest blue. <3 Razor

A well appreciated gift for my niece
Purchased as a present for my niece a few months ago, the mouse was surprisingly good quality, had a long enough cable, and the switches for M1 and M2 were great for the money. It does get greasy easy, but that's what a cheaper plastic will be like

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable, Comfortable, and Perfect for Everyday Gaming
Razer DeathAdder Essential (2021) continues the classic DeathAdder formula: simple, comfortable, and built for performance. If you want a dependable wired gaming mouse without paying premium prices, this model hits the sweet spot. 🎮 What Makes It Great • Accurate 6400 DPI optical sensor Smooth tracking with no jitter. Ideal for FPS, RPGs, and general PC use. • Classic ergonomic shape The DeathAdder design is famous for a reason. It fits naturally in the hand and stays comfortable during long sessions. • Responsive 5-button layout The side buttons are well‑placed and tactile, perfect for quick actions or macros. • Solid build quality Lightweight but sturdy, with Razer’s typical durability. • Plug‑and‑play simplicity No fuss. Works instantly, and optional software lets you fine‑tune settings if you want. ⚠️ Things to Consider • No RGB lighting, which some gamers might miss. • Wired only—great for zero‑latency gaming, but not ideal if you prefer a cable‑free setup. • Not as feature‑packed as Razer’s higher‑end models, but that’s reflected in the price. 🎯 Final Verdict A fantastic entry‑level gaming mouse that delivers reliable performance, comfort, and precision. Perfect for gamers who want a trusted design without overspending. If you value ergonomics and responsiveness over flashy extras, the DeathAdder Essential is an excellent choice.

Mouse OK but software app does not work on W11
The mouse is very comfortable to use, but the Synapse 4 software to get all of the buttons working (buttons 4 and 5) has problems with Windows 11. It lags at shutdown consistently and occasionally stops the computer shutting down. When I uninstalled the Synapse app, the shutdown problem goes away, so it is definitely the culprit. Looking at the Synapse website discussion board, there are lots of others having the same issue. A response from one complaint apparently said that this is normal behaviour for the app. So, as said, buttons 1, 2 and 3 work fine, but buttons 4 and 5 are redundant. Got it cheap in the Prime day sale, so not too bothered, but I will avoid this company again for other hardware.
