Q: What threads are on my IBC?

Containers can have several types of fittings. IBC threads or buttress threads, having larger courser threads of different sizes are the most common. A BSP thread or DIN thread is also possible.

Q: Are NPT and BSP equal?

No, the thread forms are not the same. The BSPs are rounded, and the NPTs with peaks and valleys. Always use the threads seizing from the same standard.

Q: How to determine your IBC container thread type?

The first step is to measure the outside Diameter of the IBC opening. Second step - on the outer side of the opening measure the distance between the peaks of each thread.

Q: Cannot be screwed onto the threads. What is wrong with the product?

There are 2 types of threads on the 2" discharge nozzle on the IBC tank: coarse or fine. You have to check which is yours.

Q: Can this fit into a 250 gal IBC container?

We're not sure. But you can check by the size and type of threads on your IBC tote tank.
