This is a fabulous product and the only “brace” that has improved my severe foot drop after a prosthetic hip fracture/repair with resultant peroneal nerve injury severe foot/ankle inversion and foot drop. I was in rehab for two months with no improvement and just happened to find this on Amazon/ about the 10th kind I have purchased and finally improvement! I am a retired MD and have been to 3 different specialists with no improvement until now- I am grateful ! I hook both cords to distal lateral aspect to strengthen lateral pull and solve the severe foot/ankle inversion

After going through 4 braces and sending them back for CMT drop foot issues, the other braces were "In the shoe" and not working for me at all. Ordered this one to try out and it really works well. I had a hip replacement done in December, and the surgery made my CMT more active in the same leg for the drop foot issues. After falling from my toe dragging the floor after putting my tennis shoe on, I needed a reliable brace to keep the foot up. This one does the job, beautifully. I even found that I was walking straight and normal with the new hip, while wearing this brace, so it is helping to realign my bones in my feet to my hip byholding the foot up, properly, while walking. I have to have help putting this brace on for the new hip limits of not bending past 90 degrees, but this brace is very easy to adjust the pull and the tension needed for a very comfortable fit and support. After evaluating many of these foot brace designs, even looking at some that were $1000. +, I am thrilled to have found this brace. Very well made, you can purchase replacement parts and it fits very well. Just be certain to measure your ankle as in the photos to get the best size for the best fit. My dad is paralyzed on the left side of his body from a stroke so his foot drops and turns inwards at the ankle. I just received this and he tried it on shoes with Velcro and for the first time in 27 years wore slides to test it out and was able to walk in them. Even walked without his cane with more ease. This was just a quick test run and worked great, we’ll be going on a 3 week long trip so I’ll update after that to see how he likes it for actual long term use!

I purchased this 9 months ago. I think this is one of the best products for foot drop. It is easy to put on, very comfortable all day wear. I have tried several different styles, none of them compare to this. The fact that you can order the band and the hooks separately is great. I ordered extra hooks for the shoes so I do not need to change them out. I have had this one for 10 months and just had to replace the band portion. The velcro and the support are still going strong! Only issue was the sizing. I ordered the medium/large and it was too loose, but was able to exchange for the x small/small. I am an average size male but had to go with the smaller size.

This is my most used AFO for my foot drop between my carbon fiber AFO's and all the other styles that attach to shoe laces. It is kind of large and bulky but it helps lifts my foot while allowing me to plantar flex also,so I still have some range of motion. I use this one on my right foot as it allows me to drive a lot easier due to rubber cords pulling my foot up and still allowing me to push down. You can adjust the amount of lift on the rear of the AFO by sliding the rubber strap through 3 different loops. It helps keep my foot up while walking and lessens the slapping when I put my foot down and I still can let my ankle move vs. my carbon fiber AFO's , which don't really allow any flexion. This attaches to metal clips that go through a shoelace eyelet ,so there is no pulling of the laces like with other AFO's. I bought a 2nd one of these for my left foot also as I have bilateral foot drop. I would absolutely recommend trying this AFO to see If it works for you. 4.5 stars

I have used this product almost two years, but after 1yr and some months the big rubber hook was torn so , useless without it. If there is option to buy the rubber hook only, then it will be great.

This is one of the most expensive unit but it is worth the money. It is the same unit I used while I was in the hospital during my recovery. It allows rather fine adjustment to my need (ie more or less tension, more tension on which side of my foot, etc). I have been using the footflexor when I did my walking exercises and I found that the footflexor helped me to walk easier and walk further distance. Due to te fine adjustment, the footflexor can be adjusted to my various stages of my condition during my recovery. I am very happy with it and believe that I get what I pay for.

The AFO was easy to install and worked as expected. Do not use it for an extended period of time when you first get it. Your walking position changes and it affects different muscles.
