simple solution
I had to figure out the measurement from the can bottom to drill the 2 holes 180° apart on each fixture. luckily the 3rd fixture was newer and already had clips installed so i was able to use that measurement. A 90° angle driver adapter was required on the drill to screw the self tapping screws in - no room for even a stubby Phillips driver. took a while to get each screw to make a hole as the can was pretty tough. Have to be quick to shut drill off once it goes to stop turning it too far - so a bit of patience required. Works well and fit tight when I installed the LED fixtures.

Excellent solution for retrofitting old incandescent pot lights
simple and quick solution, bought 3 packs to upgrade 15 of my old pot light fixtures. Very pleased, and allowed me to use inexpensive LED fixtures that required clips.
