To make matters worse, when he becomes her target, she’s conflicted on telling him the truth or keeping their holiday romance going. But summer has to end soon, and Wit is leaving, and so is she. But after channelling courage from her much-loved and missed sister, Meredith makes a decision for her own happiness that changes the course of her carefully thought plans.Overall, The Summer of Broken Rules waltzed into my life, and like in Assassin, shot me straight in the heart, putting me under it’s spell. I found myself wanting to live inside the pages, totally enamoured by Meredith’s family, the romance (THE ROMANCE!!) and everything that it kept delivering. Reading this as my last book of the summer is such a serotonin boost. I think I’ve found one of my newfound favourite YA books. If you’re looking for a family-oriented, Pinterest-wedding, YA Romance with all the feels for an end of summer read, you’ve come to the right place. I could gush about this book for hours, and will at any given time, just ask my friends. Five stars completely!

I love the whole storyline a must have for summer!!!

This book is soooo summer coded it’s so easy to read but also so entertaining I’m pretty sure this book is YA but I could be wrong this book screamed big family summer like literally I felt apart of her family. It is kinda sad but the way they celebrate in her memorie it makes it so sweet. DefinitelyCuties romance coded

But this summer, her family are going to their annual vacation to Martha’s Vineyard and to attend a family wedding.Every year, the family play a game called Assassin which is a game that Claire loved. Meredith soon finds herself allying with Wit, the step brother of the groom and is determined to honour Claire’s legacy. Meredith soon realises that she’s falling for Wit, but will their love survive the week-long holiday…I picked up the Collector’s Edition with a beautiful book jacket and I really wanted to love this book. But sadly, I didn’t.Having recently been dumped a few days before the wedding, I found it a bit difficult to believe that Meredith and Wit got together so quickly. I'm not really one for insta love so this didn't really work for me. I also didn’t think that the Assassin game added much to the book? And who has a Hunger Games showdown for the game on the morning of the wedding. Isn’t that just asking for trouble?!? I think I would have preferred the book and the storyline without the Assassin aspect to be honest. I also found the book to be slow paced and not much seemed to happen throughout, so 400 pages was a struggle in this regard.Overall, if you are looking for an easy summer read, then this one is for you.

New book by this Author and I would deffiently read more, a vet seeet none spicy story, great plot and characters

This was the first book that I have read by the author and I will definitely be reading more by them. The story was easy to follow and beautifully written with a brilliant cast of characters and I loved the place settings in the story. And the pacing was just right. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

I LOVED this book!!!! There’s hardly any spice and the whole storyline is great! I thought that this book might be depressing because Meredith‘s sister (Claire) has died but surprisingly wasn’t. I’m not one for going back and rereading a book but I’m gonna have to!!!!
