My sis and I struggle with some good anxiety. Mine I call a social anxiety, durring my really lows I was on Zoloft, buspar, and xanax for my panic attacks. My sis calls her more of agoraphobia. (quick run down of our insanties so you get a better idea of the product) Because I have responsibilities out of the house that require my attention, I do DO them, I am doing better than in the past, I just don't tend to LIKE to or WANT to and just seem to have a lot of general anxiety about everything, and though can be a mellow calm person, when stress levels are hit, they go through the roof fast. I have had chest pains and other not fun-ness from it. Anywho. After tons of research, I bought this and recommended my sis to buy 5 htp. I sent her some of my pills, she sent me some of hers. Recommended dose is 2 pills in high times of stress (not daily). First day, I only took one (pills are scary, mm-k?). Felt a head rush, almost dizzy floaty-like feeling. Didn't really like it, but not HORRIBLE. After a bit I felt.. stretchy...relaxed...tired. Crashed out. Since then I have taken one on and off when I feel "grumpy" from stress levels, and it REALLY seems to work to immediately calm me and put me in a better mood. I also, still, tend to crash out. I have counter acted this with some L-Tyrosone energy shot/drinks Stacker Xtra 12 Hour Power Energy Shot - 3-ounce Bottles, 4x the Strength, Zero Calories, (Improve Performance) (Pack of 12) (I'll get a review out for those soon, I am a new fan). Then started the 5 htp a week or so after trying the passion flower. It seems to help a little, too, but have started skipping many days on taking it. I think I prefer the passion flower because it has an immediate affect on what my problem is at the time: Grumpy stressed high tension short patience-resulting in-happier, calmer, more patient. That's not why I BOUGHT the product, wanted something that made me okay with heading to Walmart w/o anxiety. It didn't seem to do that, but the suprising results it DOES do, makes it a keeper in my book. Not sure I'll ever take 2. Light-headed rush only happened the first time. Sister's results: Same head rush upon first pill, hated it, racing heart, scared her she was gonna faint. Do not think she will ever take them again. She started the 5 htp about a week before trying 1 passion flower. They don't help her leave the house, but do help her sleep better. They may also give her headaches. I think she will continue to give them a try, as I will continue to on and off until they run out (I too noticed better sleep and odd headache, but will probably not buy a bottle). Here's a link to those: #1 Natural 5-HTP Supplement - 5 HTP Gold - 100mg, 90 Veggie Capsules Bottom Line: I like em. Will buy again.

I bought this along with a GABA supplement in order to help my anxiety. After taking the GABA supplement for awhile, I kind of started to wonder if any of these supplements that promise to help with anxiety, would actually work. When I started taking Passionflower, I assumed it would barely do anything for me. Well, I was wrong. It calms me down and helps me relax. In situations where I would have maybe had a panic attack or had racing thoughts, I'm just calm and I have this "everything is fine" attitude. I mean, my anxiety is still there, but it helps make it a bit easier to deal with. I feel as though it makes me a little too tired though, so I started taking it at night to help me sleep. I recently came off of Klonopin and have started going through withdrawal from it. The withdrawal has made it hard to sleep for months now. I usually just take 6mg melatonin, but adding Passionflower to the melatonin has really helped me sleep. I usually take 2 capsules of these. I've also taken 3 without any adverse effects.

I decided to give this herbal supplement a try after first searching for natural remedies to help lower blood pressure. Most results suggested this product and the reviews for its usage were above average to "absolutely satisfied"- which brought me to Amazon to seek out and purchase. I will continue the trend by saying that if you are tired of synthetic medications and want to go a more natural route- give this a try. Of course, use your common sense- if you are being treated by a physician, run it past them first, but the side effects are only relevant to the amount of the Passionflower that is used. If you are taking additional meds it is a safe bet to go to a pharmacy and/or check online to see if there are any drug interactions that may cause harm (Of course, that is with anything you ingest). Similar to most medications, it takes a few days for adequate concentration levels to have an effect on your blood pressure levels but the "tranquility" effect can be noticed almost right away. I tend not to absorb pills well all of the time so I ordered the liquid drops too, followed the instructions but cut it in half for the daytime dosage and I notice that I react less to the stress of my work environment, especially when I take it about an hour before going into work. If you experience anxiety and stress at work- I HIGHLY recommend it (seriously). My blood pressure after only five days of use went from 149/105 to 131/90. Believe me, I understand that those measurements are only snapshots and most of the time can be lower or higher overall but I had been testing my B/P over a period of a few weeks and received similar results. I have since been taking the Passionflower twice a day for two weeks and I will go back and test it again to see if there are additional improvements. Mind you, it is ultimately best to make lifestyle adjustments (lower salt intake, get adequate exercise) which I have always done but to help immediately lower it while you make those adjustments, and for those who for health reasons cannot afford to start off running or doing strenuous exercises (which make the B/P higher naturally) I suggest this 100%. Good luck to you if you decide to give a try.

I started taking this in addition to L-Theanine. I really can't tell much of a difference to be honest. I really like L-Tryptophan and 5-HTP. All of these combined are a sure fire way to fall asleep quickly!!
