Nice brush
Great brush. But I appreciate is the fact that the hairs don’t fall out. I’m pretty hard on my brushes in this one is still going strong.

Good Brushes
Good brush, all Princeton brushes are. I prefer the stiffer Velvetouch brushes. I bought the Aqua Elite travel brush series and they are nice, but they should have been made in this series.

Princeton Aqua Elite 4850 Striper brush for watercolors
I love this brush by Princeton. I've been experimenting with different brush shapes, not just round, and this one is Amazing because: 1. it holds just the right amount of water and pigment 2. you can make wither very thin or thick lines with it (see photo) and 3. it holds and maintains the point perfectly. If you turn it around to the flat side, you can make even more leaf shaped marks, heart shapes, and it's great for S and C curves when painting crocus flowers, for example. Here is a photo showing how the 4850 striper brush compares to the Princeton Select in size. They are both good brushes and with the two sizes, I can really increase the types of mark making I can create, so these are also great for mixed media and layered watercolors. I use this 4850 brush also with watercolor pencils to make perfect watercolor splashes.

Evidently an all in one watercolor brush
Of all the Princeton watercolor brushes, Aqua Elite are my favorite. They have just enough spring for my taste, with the ability to hold so much water. It’s the best of both worlds. Holds water similar to a natural brush but has the spring of synthetic. So happy to add this dagger to my collection. I’ve been told it’s the most difficult shape to use, so I’ve avoided it. I finally purchased this 3/8” dagger and plan on becoming very proficient with it. So far it is amazing! You can use the tip like a rigger and the back like a round; the sword side like a mop (when on its side) and a flat when using the edge. Evidently you can use this style in many ways. 8” from tip to tail. I have tried some mark making and love it. This may well become a favorite!
