Glad I Discovered This Product
Theses work really well to clip my tomatoes, zucchini etc to their supports. It supports heavy branches of tomatoes and keeps them off the ground and keeps them from growing sideways into other plants. This year we have tried using an arched trellis for cucumbers and zucchini, and these clips are a great help to attach the vines to the support and it keeps them well attached as they make their way up and across the trellis. You can use the clips as a single or a double, depending on how thick your vines might be.I bought a box of 100 and used them all quickly. I reordered a box of 200, so now I can use all I need without running out as the season progresses and have a good start on next year. In other words, they are so useful you may want to order plenty. I am really glad I discovered this product.

Good product
Easy to use and holds up well. Be sure not to leave them out over the winter, they get brittle and break.

It’s so much easier than using twine
We use the clips to tie the Bougainvillea branches to our new trellis and they worked very well. We put two together and it was very easy. It’s a very good product.

Works great to support my tomato and cucumbers
There are a lot of ways to support plant vines and stalks, but these looked to be the best choice both from ease of use and from a re-usable stand point. These support clips work well in many different applications, including supporting to a pole or on to a trellis as well as on a string or cord. They are easy to clip on and for bigger stalks or gaps between stalk and support pole/string, they can be doubled when combining two together. They should last for several years, so they are more economical than using garden string, hook and loop tape or garden wire, all of which degrade quickly and have to be disposed of in a season or two. About the only negative is that they are a bit tricky to unlock one-handedly once in place. But using two hands makes it easy (again, not much of a negative). I will update at the end of the growing season if there are any issues or more highlights.

Works great
Great price for the number of clips. So far I have had no issues with the quality. Just wish my tomato plants would perform as well as the clips.

Somewhat smaller than advertised.
The listing shows that these clear clips have a 1.2" internal opening (although technically that dimension could be claimed to be the longest part of an oval, I guess, since it is not stated as a diameter). The ones I received are indeed oval, but internally measure just 1.08" for the long axis, and only 0.82" for the short axis. I bought these to replace similar clips (Grodan Terracotta, purchased from Amazon 6 years ago). The terracotta clips were actually round with a 1" internal diameter, and lasted 5 full seasons with only occasional failures. However, this season all of those clips seemed to fail, the hinges splitting either upon placement or worse, after a day or three, dropping the tomato vines on the ground without warning. They need to be replaced now, so I thought I would try these clear clips, listed as roughly the same size or larger but costing much less. These clear clips seem strong enough and hold the twine well, at least when new. While the clasps do seem a bit less secure than the terracotta ones, they will probably be secure enough. A few of the hinges on the clear clips were already separated when received. At the price, I think that would be OK even if 10% were defective on arrival, and even if they only lasted two seasons or so, as they are close to 4 times less expensive per clip than the terracotta ones. However, the smaller size really limits their usefulness for my intended use, which is growing tomato varieties whose vines get quite thick (1+" in diameter). The 3 star rating is primarily based on the misleading dimension in the listing but is not lower because the listing's claim that these clips are well made with no sharp edges or flashing seems justified after inspection. The vendor does deserve credit for that. The clips are usable for most smaller vines, so I will keep them to use where I can, ordering something else for the larger vines. Obviously, I don't know at this point how long these clear clips will last after exposure, but as noted, they are relatively inexpensive and nicely smooth in construction. Anything more than two seasons I will consider a bonus.
