Purchased this fake fire for a Halloween and Christmas fireplace decoration. The price matched the quality and works as intended. Much better than just coloured lights to have a complete fake fireplace look. The flame effect and lights are not large or super bright so still using the flame projector light for better visibility. The "flame" ocassionally get suck to the base, but fixes itself after a while.

We purchased two of them; one for each side of the television. And then put a red light on top of the armoire. The entire corner looked like it was a fiery inferno when the lights were off. Perfect for Halloween! We might buy more next year.

Our friends had the unit with the Cone Shaped Base and we absolutely "Loved it"! The flame was so realistic !!! Perfect for camping - when no fires are allowed. So, I wanted the same unit and found it on Amazon. But when I received it, it was not the same unit, as it had 3 legs for the stand and not the cone shaped base. The video on Amazon showing the product detail, ironically showed one of each... Not seeing anyway to specify, I took a chance hoping for the Cone Shaped Base. Unfortunately we got the three legged one, which takes up more valuable storage space in our RV. But the worst thing was... the fan motor was not attached ! It was loose at the bottom of the fire bowl. So we simply returned it. (Thank you Amazon Prime). If I could get the Cone Shaped Base... I'd definitely re-order cause this "fake" fire pit is really cool.

Doesn’t look or give an ambiance like the video shows. Light is TO BRIGHT and the flames don’t match up to the light to make it look like flames, instead the flames blow around and you can see the red light circle so there is no flame illusion Also the leg broke almost immediately

The Light and the fabric is only RED, not orange and red like the box,and other photos show. The fan is also very loud. The silk like fabric isn't finished on the edge in any way, so it is already unraveling right out of the box. Although the fan is loud there isn't a lot of airflow, so the flame fabric will sometimes not even lift and will just lay there stuck! Also since the edges are unraveling they get caught in the plastic that holds the base of the fabric making matters worse. I thought about replacing the fabric with multi-color fabric and finishing the ends so the fabric doesn't fray and unravel, and replacing the fan with a bigger quieter fan with better flow (adjustable speed), buying a smart plug and plugging the unit into it so I can turn it on and off without having to unplug it and plug it in! Also maybe adding a yellow/orange light... but then I realized that I would just be replacing the whole thing basically! and why don't I just make my own!!

The material is of poor quality, tears really easy.

Used as a campfire for a school play and it looked so real from the audience.
