I only used it for a week of two. It works and it is light weight. Seems to be Ok. But somehow I don't trust it, so I check it often while using it, which saved me from a disaster. The tiny spring broke while I was half way up, and the device let the rope go up or down freely! If I did not check, I would not be able to write this review!

I used this Safety Fall Device as a prevention just in case I was starting to fall off of My Roof in a repair job to repair some Shingles on My Roof that came off. Fortunately it never came into play as I used a Ascender Climbing Handle to pull Me up and around areas of My roof. I used a Safety Waist Harness, Carabiner Clips and a Good Climbing Rope that were all designed to fit the equipment I used. It all went well as I completed the Shingle Repair Job without incident.

This works great! I rated it 4 /5 as I would like the ascended to have a longer rope catch to make it easier to descend for adjustments. After a season of use, if it breaks I would look at a different ascended per my specific needs.
