I waited almost a year to post this, just to make sure it kept working. And it has kept working! What a convenience not to have to keep an eye on the battery level before going out of town or something. I did check the level a few times in the first weeks after I put it up, but since then I've rarely thought about it. Power has never come close to running out. My little orange screwdriver lies forgotten in the bottom of a drawer somewhere.If you can't hardwire your doorbell for whatever reason, this is the way to go. One note, the connector is delicate and pretty hard to position right, especially if your doorbell is mounted on any kind of platform or wedge. But they had very little space to work with. Just be ready for a minor challenge.

Read reviews on several other brands and this one seemed to have the most favorable. It was easy to set up and has been keeping the battery charged ever since.

If you picked the right one this thing works great. I meant by that is please make sure you know the Generation of your door bell. Mine was 2020 release and the first one with mini USB plug works like a charm!

Originally the description stated 20ft cable, this was incorrect. The cable is approximately 16ft. I didn’t get around to trying to install this until 7 months after I purchased it. Too late to return this now. My fault. Be careful of the cable length.

This keeps my doorbell camera fully charged. We had a small one that attached behind it originally that couldn’t keep up. I plugged this panel in with the doorbell under 15% in less than three days it’s fully charged and maintaining great. Very happy!

Just installed 5 days ago. It was easy to set up with enough cable length to put the panel in a location with the most sun. Ran it from first floor to second floor. It shows as hardwired on Ring when sunny and battery on stormy days or nights.

I have a ring doorbell 2nd generation you will want to get the first solar panel and not the second one. I bought the 2nd solar panel first reading comments. When I checked the battery life it said hardwired but wasn’t charging so I returned it and got the first one which works because it has the micro usb port. Charges my ring doorbell when the sun is out.

Wow, I was skeptical but pulled the trigger because I was tired of changing the battery. I have the wedge for the camera and after installing I had to use a longer screw because the original one would not fit. Perhaps the wire causes it to not reach the threaded side as it did before. Aside from that it recognized the solar panel immediately and after two days it went from 35% to 98%. I recommend this solar panel if you have one of the cameras compatible with it.
