The build quality is very good and the internal layout is good, and plenty of spots for fans. I will be buying more of these

I got this case (RM400) for about 95 CHF on sale, and at that price, it’s absolutely worth it. I added a 3D-printed cage to the 5.25"x3 slot, which allowed me to fit an additional 4 drives, bringing the total to 12x 3.5" HDD slots. I also managed to fit 2x 2.5" SSDs loose inside the case, as the dedicated SSD slots are very hard to access when HDDs are installed nearby. One issue I encountered was with my ATX power cable to the motherboard—it protruded too much in the center, limiting HDD installation to just the two upper slots. I fixed this with a 90° adapter and routed the cable beneath the HDD caddy, which worked perfectly. The included 80mm fan at the back can also be relocated to the center caddy, which I found more useful if you have two HDDs installed there. The case itself has plenty of ventilation holes at the back, so exhaust fans aren’t really necessary. On the downside, the metal edges are rough and sharp, making it easy to accidentally cut yourself during installation. The upper panel requires 4 screws to remove, and if you slide it back on without securing the screws, it stays on rather loosely. Overall, it’s a solid case with a lot of potential for Homelabs/NAS!
