I don’t think until recently I had used a soap bar for 30 years or so. In a bid to use less plastics it is nice to find an all in one bar to do face, hair and body. This bar is very pleasant to use, has a traditional barbers scent, Sandlewood and clove at a guess. I’ve loved going back to soaps it just makes you feel so much cleaner after a shower and my skin which is dry hasn’t suffered at all. This bar is small but actually the price is small too. I don’t have particularly small hands but some of the bigger bars are annoying to use on the body. I don’t use the really cheap brands of soap but I like this one as much as Floris, L’Ocitane and Woody’s which I am also a big fan of. I wouldn’t say the scent of this one lasts all day on the skin, if you want that then Floris is certainly the best option.

This was perfect for travelling with. Paired with a toothbrush and tablet toothpaste, no issues going through airports or leaks in my bag while out and about.

I was recommended this bar of soap by a work colleague. I've not used a bar of soap in years, so I can't really compare this to other bars. One thing I didn't expect from using a bar, was that I was able to shower quicker. I found that I didn't have to pause and refill my hand with gel from my little pump dispenser that I use. I simply went from top to bottom with a few moves, scrubbed and rinsed. I was in and out of the shower in a flash! It's only about £3.50 at the time of writing, but seriously it needs to be three times the size. It only lasted a few weeks and I'm the only one using it. I shower ever night, twice on weekends. I could use two of these bars per month. When a £4 bottle of gel easily lasts me a month, the £7 for 2 bars per month is not great value. *I don't have a beard so can't comment on that side of things. Pros: Good lather. felt really nice in my hair and on my skin. A lovely smell which lasts on the skin for the whole day. Speed of use. No stopping to squeeze gel into the hand. Cons: The bar just isn't big enough. Not good value for money. Gel is still cheaper for me and lasts longer.

This is a classic "syndet bar" (synthetic soap) with the clean masculine cedarwood fragrance common to the rest of the L'Oréal Barber Club line. It lathers very well with the thick, small bubbles you often get from syndet bars and isethionates. It's fairly gentle for sensitive skin and as a bar product with a "barber shop" scent it has a nice "old school" vibe, which might appeal to those of us of a certain age.

I bought these to add to my kit for lightweight camping. I thought that it would replace a bar of soap, a bottle of shower gel and a can of shaving gel. It did all of this, and from that point of view was a success - it was lightweight and multi-purpose. Also it smelled very nice. What disappointed me was the incredibly small sized bar of soap relative to the price I paid - it was barely the size of a box of matches. Having said all that, it was lightweight and functional and very suitable for the purpose for which I bought it. I would give it more stars if it was a bigger bar of soap or sold at a cheaper price.
