48DCWR122 CompR 12" Dual subwoofers in Vented Enclosure, 2ohm

This is a great subwoofer box, I love that it's a loaded enclosure so it's ready to go in the trunk and play some bass, the build quality is great, all of the cuts look machine finished, there are no gaps, or air leaks and you have a very reliable pair of kicker drivers! And you get some very high quality logo stitching at the top that just looks great. I've had this box in my car for 3 years and I frequently play it with quite a bit of distortion. I adjusted the gain to about -7db down to 35hz, it's risky but I use my sense of smell to know its limits LOL plus I can hear when it's clipping too much. I use kicker's dsp LOC to flatten the signal and a separate eq to fine tune bass, mids and highs. However, the enclosure tuning is not to my liking. On kicker's website it states that the box is tuned to 33hz which is true, but the box is too small to play those frequencies at its limits. It peaks at 50hz, and drops steadily sort of like a sealed box. If you set your gain to max the output at 50hz and tune your crossovers accordingly, it plays well to about 42hz, after that you can hardly hear anything below 40hz. On WinISD I input the T/S parameters that kicker provided for the Comp R and used its recommend box dimensions; the results are what I expected. If you want the full range down to 33hz you need to sacrifice a bit of volume between the 40-50hz range; it's still very loud at that setting, and it sounds so good at the low end.

Sounds amazing, going to blast your ears out and everyone will hear you coming down the road.. Best thing I’ve ever bought, truly love it; paired with my 1000 watt amp.

Throbs like a MF. Matched up with the 2000watt kicker mono amp...have the gain turned to half because my eyes jiggle too much when driving.

Speakers came double boxed and in a bag. When hooked up to a 750watt amp they thumped and sounded great. When hooked up to a 2000watt RMS amp they pounded! Great Speakers Will buy another pair for other car.

2Ohm woofer boxes are the future in sub boxes. Kicker speaker design is the best. I bought two more 12’s after I herd these speakers. Bass for days.

This box kicks ass. like said it pounds.
