Small but mighty
These little cone shaped strainer is excellent and fine enough to even catch powders such as matcha. I was very impressed to see that all the powder was still in the strainer and as matcha powder is very very fine.I’ve tried this on loose leaves to make tea, like chamomile and other flowers, and this is excellent at stopping the big leaves and flowers from the liquids.I also love the fact that this is stainless steel and very sturdy. The net and handle both seem very durable. You can’t beat the price!

It is absolutely perfect because it is balanced correctly
I've looked for these for so long! I have one my father gave me that was on its last legs. It is absolutely perfect because it is balanced correctly. The light handle design (exactly like the one my father gave me) is such that it stays on whatever you have placed in onto (cup, measuring cup, bowl). Other strainers don't stay because the heavy handle makes it fall unless you have an extra hand to hold it in place. I have put up with this for so long. Now, the best strainer is back! I was so happy my husband bought 2 of them. The price is right! It is a fine strainer & small. It can sit on top of your coffee cup, or across a measuring cup (fits the smallest 1 cup -- up to the quart size). I strain tea and lemon/lime juice through it. It catches the smallest seeds and pulp.Highly recommended.

works well!
I don't even remember if it was a movie or a tv show but one of them had fancy people drinking tea and using a much fancier version of this. Unfortunately, the fancier ones out there are too small for my mug. I wish this one had a longer hook or handle on the top but it still works well for me. It's not the prettiest but it works. I have a really large 5-1/2" wide mug I use for my tea and this strainer device thingy fits across it just fine and does exactly what it's supposed to do. If I drank tea more often, I would probably buy an antique version but for now, this suits my needs perfectly.

High-Quality Fine-Mesh Strainer
In the two smallest sizes, this high-quality stainless steel strainer has a very fine mesh that will strain out seeds, lumps, and just about everything else from a thin cooking liquid. To strain a cooking liquid that is even slightly thickened, you will probably need a strainer with a coarser mesh. The strainer is dishwasher safe. The strainer size (2-1/2", etc.) is measured straight across the "bowl" of the strainer, and includes some of the metal frame. The total length of the 2-1/2" strainer is 7-1/4"; the wire handle alone is 4". The total length of the 3-3/4" strainer is 8-3/4"; the wire handle alone is 4-1/4".

This strainer is great for making matcha
This strainer is great for making matcha. It helps to get lumps out and create an even and smooth distribution of the powder. It may not be the very ornamental, but it does an excellent job and I recommend it highly.

Does the job
Works well with fine tea powder. Smaller than the one I have been using from Wilton for years whichbis good fit in my utensil draw perfdctly. One thing I noticed was the workmanship was not great even packing wss very poor.

Actual fine mesh! Perfect for sifting my morning matcha
For some reason it seems to be hard to find a small strainer/sifter that actually has a fine mesh. This one is it!

Works Well For Me
I use it to strain the pulp out of store bought lemonade after it has been in the fridge a few days. I know it's not the purpose, but it works great! The size is nice and that little loop on the end helps it to sit on the rim of the glass, so I don't have to hold it in place. Couldn't find one this small enough in the stores.
