Excellent product. I’ve used a lot of different cast iron cleaners and so far, this is the best. Deep cleans the surface very well and leaves the surface without any residue.

Works good for my wood stove steamer

I originally bought this product a few years ago but wasn't using my cast iron pans on a regular basis. Other than the original seasoning process, I didn't use the pans. Over the past eight months, or so, I've been using the skillets on a regular basis. The Caron & Doucet cast iron soap is used on a nearly daily basis and does an excellent job of removing cooking residue without removing any accumulated seasoning. I also use Caron & Doucet cast iron oil after each washing and can honestly say that these two products help to maintain the fully seasoned condition of the skillets, effectively rendering the pans non-stick. It should be noted that the very little oil is needed to put an effective layer of protection on the cast iron so the bottle of oil will last a long time. Using the specified one teaspoon of soap to wash a skillet will get you through a bottle of soap more quickly than using just a few drops of oil and working it into the pan with your fingers. I'm glad these two products are available, as they make using cast iron very easy.

Love using this soap for my cast iron. It has a great smell to it and I feel like it really gets my pan clean! I pair it with the scrub and oil and my pan stays perfect 💕
