SHADES OF GREY
Here is my updated review of FLEX SEAL GALLON GREY productI 1hammer1 am changing my negative review of FLEX SEAL Liquid 128-fl oz Gray Dip Rubberized Coating. The SAME day that I published my negative review of this product THE FLEX SEAL COMPANY called me at home and offered a solution to my problem with the grey color WOW they wasted no time they have made me more than happy ( WHAT A GREAT COMPANY ) I have always liked their products the FLEX SEAL Liquid 128-fl oz Gray Dip Rubberized Coating is a great water proofer we have had water in our basement when it rained hard. We have done our whole basement walls and floors with this product this product will and does stand up to hydrostatic water pressure if it is applied in 2 to 3 coats, BUT we were told it probably would not stand up to normal foot traffic in our basement (NOT TRUE) we have scooted and pushed and walked all over the floor no problem unless you really scape hard on the floor but you have to apply this product properly clean the surface have no loose stuff and dry and apply 2 to 3 coats let dry well 2 to 3 days between coats also ventilate the area well. We had basement waterproofing estimates between $30,000.00 and $42,000.00 this product cost near $100.00 per gallon and we purchased 29 gallons from 1 source and 8 gallons from another source total =37 gallons est. cost $3,700.00 ( WOW BIG DIFFERANCE ) My wife and I are 80 years old and we did all the work by our self's we just took our time also after the 1st coat you do not have to wait till it is not raining to appy more coats because it stops the water from coming in, apply more coats for stronger protection and longevity I truly do recommend this product and truly recommend the FLEX SEAL COMPANY and special thanks toAshanti MckissicCustomer Care Manager Swift Response, LLCfor their super fast response to our grey color problemagain thank you FLEX SEALP.S.There are several other company's out there that could take some honesty lessons from FLEX SEALxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxold reviewWe have several different shades of Flex Seal Liquid grey in our basement now and we paid you almost a $100.00 a gallon here we are 29 gallons later with different shades of grey in our basement on our floor and walls we purchased these at two at a time and sometimes 4 at a time. There is no consistency of color sad.

Outstanding
Was hard to find this color but I kept looking till I found this. The shipping was so so and the can was popped open on delivery as it was packaged incorrectly. This was not a shipping transport issue. This was packaged upside down. It's amazing more product was not lost. I had a pretty smallish project so used what was left. The product itself is absolutely amazing. Has held up in the sun all year round in our bulkhead. Looks amazing and helped waterproof the seems. Very very happy with this product

Makes a good, rubbery waterproof seal.
I bought the gallon size. It arrived packaged very well, secured top and bottom with Styrofoam in its own box which was placed in a larger box. The lid was secured with 4 clips to keep the lid on, though I was able to remove those clips with my fingers. It is quite thick. Not like putty but more like a very thick molasses. It will pour but you'll need to spread it out. It will self-level somewhat, but I did apply this on a flat surface in sunny 80-degree weather, and that probably helped it to self-level. On a cooler or overcast day, it might not. It seemed to cure in just a few hours. There are a lot of fumes that comes off this, so excellent ventilation is needed. A smooth substrate will need to be sanded to allow it to stick well to a smooth surface. I had no problem. Directions say that it cannot be painted or accept other coverings, but from a YouTube video, Flex Paste will adhere very well to it and Flex Paste can take other coverings like paint and such. The can re-seals well, and I'm confident that it can be stored for a long time in a closed can and still be usable. This is a good product that can seal many problem areas.

Flex Seal can eliminate periodic outdoor house painting
This stuff has provided a 'final solution' for certain outside wood on my home. I live where the seasonal temperature range can be 100F to -40F. This is brutal on even the best, long-lasting outdoor house paint. Every few years I would have to scrape and/or sand cracked or peeling spots and do touch up. Since I first used Flex Seal on critical places (like window frame tops where snow and water sit), I have had NO FURTHER MAINTENANCE.Note that there is conflicting information as to whether you can apply regular paint on top of the Flex Seal (for me, I wanted to knock down the Flex Seal's high gloss finish). So, last year, I painted over some trim that had been painted previously with Flex Seal to test adhesion and durability. All I did to prep the Flex Sealed surface before applying regular house paint was to scrub with a TSP solution. So far, no peeling or cracking has occurred. The only negative I have observed is that the Flex Sealed surfaces attract dust noticeably, almost like it's statically charged. However, the surface cleans up easily with a hose and soft-bristled brush. This stuff yields a truly waterproof barrier that has eliminated the periodic painting I had to do every 2-3 years. The wood trim is sealed and no shrinkage or cracking has occurred. I'm getting older, so the less time I spend on a ladder is fine with me!

STOCK TANK POOL REVIEW
If you’re here to purchase this for your stock tank pool, read on. We applied 2 coats of this to our stock tank after brushing the metal. We allowed 24 hours minimum of curing between the coats. The first time I got in the pool, the Flex Seal began to bubble and peel. After about a month, it has nearly peeled entirely from the bottom and has started to peel from the sides as well. We’re going to use a different product next spring before refilling it.To be clear, I am giving this a one star review regarding the stock tank pool only. This review is not meant to reflect the durability or usefulness of the product as a whole, merely as a reflection of its suitability for the stock tank.
