Will this strengthen the partially rotted tops of 4 x 4 red wood deck posts, fill the rot cavity, and firmly hold screws?

I have used this product and Minwax wood hardener. Minwax is the better product. It penetrates deeper and strengthen the wood. I wood follow up with an exterior grade wood filler to fill any rotted out voids then carry on with your fasteners.

I am a fan. However there is no way it can be sprayed on. it's very thick and i can't comprehend it being in a spray bottle. Think honey or syrup. As a handyman profesional I love this. I just did 3 days doing roof trim repair that had rot and carpenter ant damage. The fibers are loose like straw. this firmed them up enough for me to put in wood epoxy.
