Cutter Skinsations Insect Repellent Pump Spray, 6-Ounce

If you are one of the unfortunate ones that mosquitos are easily attracted to, this is probably not the product for you. It is not heavily laden with DEET like some other products, but it smells a whole letter nicer and works fairly well for the average person. We live in mosquito land, a place that's not on any map but considered home by thousands of mosquitos due to the old junky appliances our neighbors have standing in their yards. I started using the product years ago and have purchased many bottles since.

Smells pretty good, non-greasy, effective and doesn't dry your skin out (although rinsing it off before applying other lotions, make-up, etc. highly recommended. Still, if you are going to be in mosquito "land" especially in early morning or late afternoon, you need this! Don't tell yourself that you don't. WNV hospitalizes and kills people--even if less so that other infections. Don't take a chance.

I purchased this repellent mainly to use when golfing, but I also use it when setting on my deck at night and the bugs are not real bad. It is not the best bug repellent you can get for sure, but it does not leave you feeling all sticky and smelling like, well...bug repellent. Being a pump sprayer it is not real easy to get some areas with it that required it to be held upside down, but you can spray it on your hands and spread it that way. Which brings me to my main point and the reason I like this stuff so much - it does not leave you feeling all sticky like a lot of other repellents do. So if I am golfing and need to use it and spread some with my hands, I can still grip the club and not feel like I am sticking to the grip or worse yet, not able to get a good grip. It has a very light smell - it is by no means pleasant, but it is not a strong disgusting smell either. It strikes just the right balance in effectiveness, odor and amount of residual residue - for lack of a better phrase. For these same reasons I think it would be good to use with children and pets as well. It's also a good size and shape container so it can be easily handled using my big hands or someone with normal size hands too. If you are looking for a strong bug repellent to use for going into the woods on a hot humid, damp evening, well this is probably not the right product. However, if your needs are similar to how I use it, then I can recommend it without hesitation.

I work outside in our yard a lot, especially lately because I've been working on a floating paver and gravel walkway from our Lifetime® sheds to our Achla® compost tumbler and a platform for our trash cans. It's been a really hot summer in So. Calif so I haven't been working on the project everyday, but when I do, I am virtually eaten alive by ants and/or mosquitos so my husband picked up a couple of cans of Off!® a few weeks ago at the grocery store. I noticed when I tried to spray it, more of the spray went elsewhere than on my legs and arms. It also didn't exactly repel all of the mosquitoes and ants-I still got bit a few times each day I was in the yard. The sprayers also stop working when there's still about 25% left in the can....the propellant runs out before the contents. So I decided to try to find something else on Amazon and came across this Cutter Skinsations Insect Repellent Pump Spray, 6-Ounce non-aerosol set of two bottles.. I've only used it three times this week and so far, I'm already impressed by its effectiveness. It not only goes on exactly where I spray it, but it actually works! I have not been bitten in the areas where I sprayed this Cutter®. The only time I did get bit was in a spot I had not sprayed....the back of my legs. I'm more careful now. I also like the scent! It smells clean and refreshing and not like a bug repellant at all.
