I have several cats, let's just say the number varies a bit as I also foster, but I have several of my own. This has been a great addition to my arsenal of combs, brushes, etc. for grooming the cats. It gets deep into the fur, especially the clumps and they can be worked out much more gently. My two oldest (17+ yrs) are not great at self-grooming anymore but are now looking and feeling so much better. I do not think I will have to shave them again. The different sides of the rake have different distances between the teeth so I start with the bigger distance and work into the smaller. It gets so much off and is much better tolerated, but they still need to be in the mood to be groomed.

I couldn't find a brush that didn't hurt my little 5lb dog or that he liked. My Toy Poodle has loose curly hair on his body, tight curles on his neck and lond straight wavy hair on his legs. This comb works for all of his hair and I was very gentle and thoughtfull as to how I was using it with him and as he got used to he liked it! A bonding experience. He hated the slicker brush which was like using needles scratching his delicate skin. and any other brush or comb was torture for him. This one actually gets the matts and tangles out. I think I will be able to take care of him much better now. Just don't ever get the blades in-between your dogs skin which wouldn' t be hard to accidently do or it could actually cut

This is a great dematting tool. It's easy to hold and cuts the mats out of the cats' coats well. That is, it worked very well the first time I used it on them. Now, when it appears, they disappear. If I do have one of them in a firm grip, 4 feet and a mouthful of teeth are quite effective at making me let go. If I am able to figure out a way to get them to behave, I'm sure this tool will take care of their mats quite efficiently and effectively.

Comfortable grip, easy to use, easy to switch from fine tangles to larger mats by simply turning the tool over. Removed mats quickly and efficiently. Definitely worth the money.

So the brush came in and it is amazing!!! Obviously if you are going to use this brush you need to get used to how to use it properly first. My dog cried out twice when I first started because it caught on the fur where the mat was and tugged on it :( HOWEVER once you get the hang of it the dos and donts if you will, it does a terrific job of getting the bottom coat and tough mats out! I have two Great Pyrenees (100lb 11 month old and a 150lb 9 year old big boy) and we have been using a furminator and while that can be a good brush this just made the work ten times easier and faster. It took out all of my older boys undercoat that was stuck which was my main reason for buying this brush. I really didn’t want to have to lop off the Mats he got in his fur and make it look like I butchered his poor fur. He looks amazing and even more floofy.♥️ Best purchase and if it breaks I will buy a new one again. Luckily if feels and looks very sturdy so I don’t see that happening anytime soon but who knows my boys have strong fur lol

So my adorable dog Nox is half golden doodle and half husky (she was a accident, guess her mom roamed around and fell in love with a husky). Her fur is quite the mix...she's got the husky undercoat, which then kind of grows out into the curly doodle fur; but it's not all the way curly it's like a wavy tangled mess. To add to this she despises being clean and looking nice and goes out of her way to be wet,dirty and rub her head and body into everything to really mat up her coat. This comb brushed through her fur like BUTTER, it easily pulled out all the little knots and mats that I usually spend quite some time trying to get through. She hates it, but as I've said she hates everything that makes her look nice. I could not believe all of the fur/knots/mats it pulled out and with such little effort; it took me a fraction of the time to comb her than normal. I highly recommend this comb for any dog that has mat issues, thick undercoats...long thick fur...it...is...amazing.

this tool works really well for getting the undercoat on my dogs, but no matter how I use it-it seems to pull and is painful to the point my dogs do not like having it used on them.
