saves my weak ass wrist lmao
it doesn't make as much noise as you'd imagine. it's fairly quiet if you keep it to a low shake level or whatever (press down lightly. if you press down harder you get a more intense shake). i used it to mix some citadel paints and it works pretty well! better than doing it by hand. it also blends the paint together fairly quickly. there's definitely more expensive ones out there but if you're tight on money then this is a pretty decent one to get, i mean they all do the same thing anyway. for what it is, and how it works, the price is pretty decent. so far it hasn't broken so it has some level of durability. might not last as long as the hella expensive ones but it'll last long enough until you can afford one i bet (or maybe it wont break if you take care of it)

Used for nail polish.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve used a clear nail polish bottle to show how this unit mixes polish. I also turn the battle upside down half way through the mix.

Amazing product for the price
As many hobbyists will know paint mixing prior to use can be a problem. I have seen many products like this at extremely high price points and always thought that I didn't need to agitate my paints that badly for such a price, then I found this little gem. Well what can I say about it?Its almost perfect, works out of the box, easy to use, very quiet when in use, compact on your worktop too, really does mix your paint, leaves you enough money left over to continue to eat for the rest of the month. So what's not to like? You may need to add a mixing ball to some bottle shapes, but I have found that the square Revell paints and the round Citadel paints mix without them, anything in a little bottle (Army Painter, Model Color, Vallejo) would benefit from a mixing ball. The use is simplicity itself, just press your paint container into the top of the agitator and it starts up automatically. My only niggle, and its VERY minor, is that the suction feet could be better, after a couple of mixings it comes loose and has to be refixed to the surface, but its such a minor niggle for the price. My only concern would be if you had problems with your grip and couldn't maintain enough downward pressure to stop the agitator from moving around while it was operating. This is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone that uses hobby paints, or anything that comes in a similar sized container. Tattoo inks and nail varnishes spring to mind so don't just think its for the hobby nerd like me.

Motor failed very quickly
Worked very well for 6 months then motor just died. I was using to mix citadel paints for painting minatures. So used very infrequently or else may have failed sooner.

mixing it up !
I thought about buying a mixer for my model paints, but they all seemed ridiculously expensive or laboratorial for just shaking my paints, but gave in and bought this reasonably priced one. PROS. 1 Suprisingly being mains over battery is a pro, when i need it for its five minute sessions, ther is no worry about charging or having to change batteries, simply plug in, and go, this runs for so short a time its energy friendly. 2 suckers on base helps keep it stable (I have a 2lb gloss floor tile for cutting photo etch, this sticks to the tile just enough not to go "walkies". 3 just 5 seconds on this mixes paint as well as 2 minutes by hand. 4 will mix any liquid that seperates, such as paint, nail varnish, vinegarette, flavoured oils, mixed essencial oils, ear drops, certain liquid medecines. as long as the container isnt too big. 5 its not too loud (about as loud as a drink blender). 6 its footprint is about 4" square. 7 mixes well. CONS, 1 you have to keep hold of what your mixing. you cant start mix and do something else. 2 IF you mix 5 or more paints, at the end, holding the bottles down and the vibration can cause finger fatigue. 3 power cable could do with being double the length as we dont all have outlets right next to work areas. 4 this is nit picking, if using on a surface suckers cant grip, you have to hold paint etc with one hand and shaker with the other to stop vibration walkabout. CONCLUSION this is a really usefull piece of kit at a reasonable (at time of writing) price. Longevity and durability are to be seen. reccomended for kitchen, garage and hobby uses, not recomended for large volume mixing , heavy containers or nitro glycerine. used sensibly it does its job.

Dead after 6 months
It was nice when it was working. But after 6 months stopped. I read other reviews and it seems that it's designed to work only this time

Mini Vortex Mixer
The Mini Vortex Mixer, 5200 RPM 30ml Mini Liquid Shaker, has been an excellent addition to my painting setup. I primarily use it to mix my Citadel paint pots and dropper pots, and it works incredibly well. The vortex action ensures that the paint is thoroughly mixed, bringing it to a smooth and consistent texture every time. This is especially helpful for avoiding clumps or separation, which can sometimes occur with thicker paints. The speed of 5200 RPM is just right for quickly mixing up small batches of paint without making a mess or overworking the pigments. It's compact and easy to use, making it a great tool for hobbyists who need to keep their paints at the ideal consistency for miniatures or other projects.Overall, I highly recommend this Mini Vortex Mixer for anyone who uses paint pots and wants to save time and ensure that their paints are always well-mixed and ready to use!

Tattoo ink mixer
I use this to shake up my tattoo inks, great for getting all the pigment that lies in the bottom to mix together. It's not quite as powerful as the more expensive ones, it doesn't thin the ink as much as hoped, but it will do!
