And the new flagship SRM-T8000 hybrid energizer that just came out is specified as consuming up to 95W. If we naively assume that the newest flagship tube energizer from STAX is the most power-hungry model, then take 95W, multiply it by 4, round UP to the nearest transformer model, and call it done. Using this logic, the 500W model should be fine. Another very important thing to note is that in the official product manuals, it is very likely stated that the energizer is rated to ONLY accept an input of 90~100VAC at 50/60Hz. If you are in the USA and have outlets at 120VAC, then this product will not bring the voltage down far enough into the 90~100VAC range. My outlets are measured with a DMM to be at 123VAC, so this product (rated to bring 115VAC down to 100VAC) will only bring the voltage down to 108VAC, which does not fall into the range of 90~100VAC. This is systematic error that will most likely damage your energizer over time. Follow the product specs to the letter. Don't take risks on an expensive, sensitive ~$1000 amplifier.

Would this transformer work well with japanese dryer (ac100v 50-60hz 1200w)?

The transformer is rated at 2000 watts. Your dryer is rated at 1200 watts. It should work with plenty of capacity to spare , however I'd keep an eye on it to ensure it does not overheat, just because devices like heating units and large motors tend to load up devices like this.
