Q: when the led is green 4g is connected. After a few minutes the led turns red which says "it's connected but not registered" how do i fix this?

Did you set up a second line with your phone provider? The sim has to be registered for data.

Yes, but it doesn't necessarily work well.

Yes but not necessarily well. Remember that a car is a Faraday cage, and the antenna on this is just a little bit of circuit trace. I use it for my car stereo internet connectivity, and it's hit or miss.
