Had to remove a few clips in the engine bay, used this tool, much easier the using pliers.

I have not actually used them yet, although I do not foresee any problems

I used these to change the coolant housing on a Renault 0.9 TCe which employs basic spring clips (e.g not Clic or Clic-R, etc). The jaws are well designed to secure into the clip lugs and rotate to improve freedom of access - once located, the jaws engaged positively and did not slip off the clips. The ratchet used to keep the clip compressed works surprisingly well despite only having a small number of detents. Quality is about a low as you could go and keep it functional, but like many cheap tools these days, it's very serviceable and if treated with some amount of mechanical sympathy will likely give the home mechanic plenty of use. The take home points are this tool is cheap as chips and made the job a lot quicker and easier.
