How has the outside material held? I want to know if I will get my money worth out of it.

Material has held up very well. No rips or tears. Material also easy to wipe clean.

I am expecting twins this winter! Will this backpack be large enough to hold items for two babies?

Yes this bag has A LOT of pockets and can hold at least four bottles with insulated holders. I love this bag it so many surprising features. I also had twins and it works great
