Q: are these good for side sleeping?

They're probably as comfortable as any earbud would be, though I can't imagine sleeping with any earbud in your ear is good for your ears.

Q: Can I adjust the volume from the device?

I assumed since it had a microphone you can adjust the volume, but you can’t. You have to adjust from your phone. I wouldn’t recommend these headphones.

Q: Do these ear buds work for console gaming purposes? Specifically plugged into a PlayStation controller?

I bought these and I couldn't get the microphone to work or it seems to be broken. Just saying. Don't know about consoles, but ear phones are generally plug and play. If the PlayStation controller has a dedicated headphone jack, naturally, it should run.
