My Husband Feels Like a Rock Star
Brought this for my husband for Christmas. He LOVES it! It's mainly for decor, he's an audiophile and wanted it for his two channel listening room. Meanwhile - it's mid-January and it's still in our living room. Really neat piece of nostalgia and I'll be getting an amp for it soon.

Excellent retro mic with bendable stand
This item was perfect for a professional photo shoot, particularly as the flexible microphone stand enabled me to pose in a more dramatic fashion than would be possible through a traditional mic stand. I have not yet tested out the sound quality that it may produce, so I cannot attest that aspect of its quality.

Exactly what I wanted
I ordered this microphone for decor only and it came with the cord to attach to a speaker that I kept just in case. The microphone stand and base are made of metal and very sturdy, the height is easily adjustable and very tight, the mic head seems to be made of plastic but still seems sturdy. I've had this for almost two years, have moved twice, and it's incurred no damage. I ordered from the discount section and was told product may come scratched, etc. It didn't. It arrived in brand new condition, in plastic wrap in a tall box. No assembly required, except hooking up the cord, which I haven't yet.

Poor quality
The look of this mic is fabulous. However the quality of the manufacturing is substandard. Of the 5 holes on the bottom of the mic pole, only 3 were fully drilled through so it was impossible to get the bolts in the holes. On the base, none of the 5 drilled holes were aligned so it was impossible to get the bolts through to secure to pole to the base. For the price, I expected to at least be able to assemble it. Really disappointing.

VERY STURDY ATTRACTIVE MIC STAND.
Mike Stand [An Amazon resale item] set up was easy with basic tools [if you are used to using a screwdriver] and sex-bit wrench ... no tools were included] ... And is very attractive. Total weight is 20lbs. It is a gorgeous and sturdy mike stand. The Stand's locking mechanism works well to 'hold' the higher lifts, but expect the low quality mic to show some feedback and sibilance [s's and t, p] problems with for live performances. The bending of the mic stand during performance is easy enough without lifting its flat base off the floor. For extreme stage antics, lifting and tossing around this 20 lb stand is not going to be as easy [or even functional] as a $50 general 10lb round bell based stand [for extreme James Browns stand antics]. More of an Elvis type moves should be fine. The stand was shipped quickly and was double boxed.

Beautiful but...
It is a beautiful stand the only down side is the mic that comes with it. Very low quality.

very low grade microphone
If you want a heavy weighted mic stand then it's good. The microphone snaps and pops once XLR is plugged in. I used a better grade XLR, same issue. It's a prop mic really. The swivel part of the stand only really works if you secure the base to the floor or stand on it. If you plan on taking this out for performances, I don't think venues will let you attach it to their stage :) I bought for my kids to play with so I guess it's ok for that. Using my own mic.

Perfect Prop For My Pinup Shoots!
I don't know how well it works as a mic but as a prop this is PERFECT!

Cool stand that springs back to straight up. Been used for 40 shows or more now and still works as it should. You cant pick this up and carry it around on stage kinda heavy for that, but lean in and belt out some vocals and it stands right back up. I never really used the mic that came with it. Put a Heil Fin mic on it for my purposes.

The mike is plastic and the threads to the metal stand have stripped out. Garbage. Stand and base are fine. Now I need a new mike

Heavy, solid base therefore won't tip over. 1 star deducted because (a) The stand is slightly off centre and returns back to off centre after tilting it (b) The description is inaccurate as the black base comes covered in an aluminium cover. Otherwise, the quality of the stand is good.
