No you don’t need to cook them before eating but you can cook them if you prefer them softer. I would google recipes for them, they can be enjoyed many different ways.

are these the sweet lupinis?

I don't believe Lupini's can be sweet to be quite honest with you.... I guess they could be put in a sweet solution however I don't think they would take on the sweetness.....

Never actually read the label that close. But they are the best tasting Lupini Beans I have found, and I put Lupini Beans in just everything (within reason).
