what are the actual dimensions of the boot? I don't believe the .5 x .4 x .3 listing.

5 1/4 x 6 1/4 outside mounting plate. the rubber boot only lasted a few months - split; replaced with a vinyl boot. used the same metal ring

Factory fit use of the rubber.boot, most likely no but with modification it will may work. If you need the trim ring to work, the holes will most likely not line up to anything factory wise, you would be 100% modifying your floor to make it work. This is not a factory replacement I your situation.
