Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN for Sony E Black

This is such an amazing lense I’m so happy I purchased it.

I've been using this lens for over a year. Great quality locks on the subject fairly fast, very good deal and quality happy with my purchase.

Within the first few shots I fell in love with this lens. The size and weight, the image quality and the colors. Amazing. I adore this lens. If your nit-picky, you should know about this: -distortion at the min and max focal lengths -poor corner sharpness wide open at 70mm -chromatic aberration -The distortion doesn’t bother me. I shoot RAW exclusively so everything gets processed in Lightroom before it’s done. This is a checkbox and done -the poor corner sharpness at 70mm is a slight bummer, but it isn’t terrible if you’re not pixel peeping (your customers won’t be) and even so, the image quality is so stellar otherwise that this is a small price to pay. Especially for a “budget” lens like this -chromatic aberration can sometimes be a bit harder to take care of but if you’ve previously owned other sigma contemporary lenses, then you’re already used to this. After some Lightroom tweaks, you’ll produce a result that’s phenomenal and your customers won’t notice anything that’s left. All that being said, don’t take any of those negatives out of proportion. No lens is perfect, and for the price, you’re already getting a stellar product. Bottom line is that it takes gorgeous photos and it’s a nice looking lens as well (not that it matters). The size, weight, image quality and price all add iup to making this a killer lens that I look forward to enjoying for years.

Sigma 28-70 is my go to lens for family photos when not using primes. Excellent photos and quick focus.

i love this so much more than my previous Sony 24-70 2.8. i sold the used Sony for $1200 and got this one for $600 something. ended up having money to spare for another two primes. this lens is much smaller. huge help for long shoots and when packing for other gear. super sharp and what i love is that it’s a 67mm thread like both my sony 85 1.8 and my sigma 10-18 2.8.

Amazing lens! Do not give in to the GM hype! This is absolutely capable of 99% of what the Sony equivalent is. Save yourself the money and get one of these. Sigma has proven itself to me; their lenses are the highest quality and feel so solid. Trust me, I was hesitant going with a third party lens but this is well worth it. If I had to really nitpick, I'd say it could be just a little but lighter, but it's not really going to make your arms sore with normal use. That said, I wholeheartedly recommend this lens. I do not regret this purchase in the slightest.

A basic lens, but not too bad. Won’t get you super crisp photos (it’s not a prime) but will get the job done for sure. It’s more crisp towards the 70mm mark at the end. I’ll definitely be upgrading to the Sony GM, or just flat out leaving this zoom behind and selling it looking longterm in the future.

Bellissima lente per fotografia e video. Questa lente è davvero nitida e con il diaframma che si apre fino a 2.8 costante permette un bellissimo sfocato sullo sfondo. Peccato che a 28mm (focale minima) abbia, ovviamente, un campo non larghissimo, ma per il prezzo che ha (soprattutto confrontato al fratello maggiore 24/70) direi che va benissimo così, è la mia lente principale. Consigliata

Super objectif Léger et efficace auto focus rapide pour un sigma. Il y a une légère déformation à 28 mm. Mais le gros avantage de cet objectif c’est qu’il est totalement Parat focal donc quand on zoome, on ne perd pas le point même en manuel. Il fonctionne parfaitement sur un Ronin 4d sans calibrage
