This book is amazing! It is very unique and inspires you to think what you would do if you were in the rebel girls position.

Great conversations w my ten year old based on these questions. Have quickly become part of our nighttime routine.

I have read and reviewed a number of titles in the Rebel Girls series. The books are ones that encourage young women to achieve their goals and to learn about those who have come before them. These women may have struggled but that is part of what makes their achievements so remarkable. This book is a bit different from the ones that have come before. It encourages girls to ask questions, taking their time to do so. Entries are inspired by real women. For example, the very first entry is inspired by Lady Gaga. It quotes her on kindness and then offers three questions: What is something kind that you have done for another person recently and how did it make you feel? This is followed by what do you do when someone is unkind to you and another asking what you might do if you had the money to do something kind for people you know at school. These are good prompts for either thinking about by one’s self or in group discussion. Just a few of the many other women who inspired questions include Mae Jemison, Lupito Nyongo, tri-athlete Paula Newvy-Fraser and Temple Grandin By spending time with them, girls are given the opportunity to better understand themselves and those around them. This title is illustrated with bright colors. Each woman’s illustration is striking. I very much like this title and applaud its goals. It would make a terrific gift. I was invited to read a galley copy of “Rebel Gil’s Champions”. My daughters and I have read all of the available Rebel Girls books so we were excited to read this new book of questions. We had just finished another Rebel Girls book when we started this one and, at first my oldest (8yo) rolled her eyes about it being a question book. From the first question I asked, she was really engaged and it was a great/new way for me to learn more about her personality and what she thinks about. Like the other Rebel Girls books, this one is a great bedtime read based on the fact that the questions can prompt specific discussions and you can stop at any question. This book - and it’s unique way of getting kids to open up about themselves - may just be my favorite in the Rebel Girls Series. I would definitely recommend this book.

Composed of information, facts, and questions for today's rebel girls. The questions spark self reflection and analysis of one's surroundings. Badass women are shown as inspiration. Are you a rebel? The whole Rebel Girls series is phenomenal. I have been following it from the first book. I love that many little-know rockstar women that patriarchal history has forgotten are being brought to the forefront. I see great value in this book for young girls to not only reflect and learn more about themselves, but also to show them what is attainable for a woman. This book can also be enjoyed with friends, siblings, and parents. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
