How do you clean this? Dip the tip in alcohol? Is the tip removable? Bacteria will no doubt get inside the bulb. Is this rubber? plastic?

The tip is made of plastic and is removable. The bulb is soft and made of rubber. We did not need to clean it much. We just wiped the tip, because you will be blowing air from the device into your ear not sucking water from ears into the device.

Does this help to "suck" the ear wax out??

I don't think so. I use drops for the ear for a few days and then wash the excess wax out of my ears.

How long does it take to dry one ear?

I find it takes about 5 puffs and sometimes I can even feel it clear my nose a little as well. I have had a lot of trouble in the past with swimmer's ear and this device has really helped me prevent that.

Has anyone had a young child use this independently,safely,& successfully?i have a 6yr old who would need to be able to use this without assistance.

I think it would depend on how mature your 6 year old is. They might be a bit young. I don't think they could hurt themselves but I wonder if they could do the protocol correctly.
